Narration is awful
Robert Louis(pronounced in the French form!) Stevenson is a great author. The sories are not in question.
The stories sound totally wrong read in an American accent, especially when words are so badly mispronounced. For example, Edinburgh is pronounced Edinburra with no burg sound at the end. I persevered through Treasure Island, purely because it is such a good story, but the selection of accents used by the narrator were cringe-worthy. I have nothing against American accents, but totally inappropriate here, and they ruined the works for me. I didn't get past the introduction of the second book.
