Morgan's life is not easy.

Lord Simon wants him dead, but the laws of the kingdom are on Morgan’s side, and even the guards won't kill him just for being seen near his manor. Morgan’s time is running out, though. Lord Simon has deep pockets, and his last visit to the manor may just have put him over the edge. Worse, he is nearing his 16th birthday, and has yet to awaken any abilities. In a world where might makes right, he has never been one of the mighty. What will he do when faced with a life-altering decision, and just how will his decision impact those around him?

Simply the best i have listened to. The pacing is fantastic. So good i would have written the review without the bribe

"I can't tell you it's against the rules"
I made it 30 hours before I gave up with this. Maybe if I had lasted longer all would be explained, but 30 hours of "I can't tell you it's against the rules" and I just gave up. Having loads of super powerful people with motivations that didn't make any sense and the rules they follow being all over the place and inconsistent. At one point the main character even remarks he is fed up of everyone and he just wants to leave them all to sort it themselves. I wish the author had followed through with this it would have been a far more interesting book. I only liked Morgan and Catherine by this point, Sarah is as bad as the rest.

Childish voices
The narrator chose to voice the main character like a 5 year old, i got about 6 hours in but caved in as i couldn’t stand it anymore.
