About this listen
Two sworn enemies. One deadly mission.
Jay Qasim is trying to lay low after nearly being killed, for the second time. But then he gets word that notorious terrorist and his father, The Teacher, is still alive. And finally bringing him down means Jay breaking his vow never to work with MI5 again and turning to the person who has sold him down the river before.
Imran Siddiqui may have tried to kill Jay, but now they have a common adversary. The one thing worse than death is watching the people closest to you die. And after the happiest day of Imran’s life becomes the most tragic, he vows to take revenge on the people who’ve caused him and Jay so much pain.
But when everyone has their own agenda, who can you really trust?
Your most deadly enemy is about to become your closest ally.
Ride or Die is an edge-of-your-seat thriller featuring MI5's most reluctant spy, Jay Qasim, perfect for fans of Mick Herron’s Jackson Lamb series and A.A. Dhand’s DI Harry Virdee thrillers.

How to top an already incredible series
I didn't think that East of Hounslow could be topped but here we are. Ride or Die manages to maintain the humour and reader relationship with Jay and Immy but brings something else. I felt real fear and wonder whilst listening and was desperate to get to the next chapter. Waleed does a fantastic job of bringing this story to life and more importantly, the characters. Well done Khurrum Rahman, the sooner these are made into a TV or movie series, the better.

There aren’t enough superlatives!
I normally read literary fiction and the classics, so Jay Qasim and his exploits are not my usual fare. I enjoy a good thriller that includes cynical humour and good writing, but these, I find, are thin on the ground. Khurrum Rahman’s trilogy, and especially ‘Ride or Die’ has ALL of the cynical humour, great writing, brilliant plot structure, characters that live in your memory and an ability to tackle the complex issues of terrorism, religion, radicalisation and alienation in society. He makes it all seem so easy. The story flows, unfolds, keeps you on the edge of your seat. You live every moment of it. Now, a word about narration. Waleed Akhtar is the BEST narrator I’ve heard on Audible. He brings Jay Qasim to life in an unbelievable way. His timing is perfect, he gets every nuance of every thought, joke and sentence of dialogue. The book and the narrator are perfectly matched, and this isn’t always a given with audiobooks. I would venture to say that this book is possibly improved by the narration, though I plan to read the hard copies to put my theories to the test. Thanks, Khurrum Rahman, please write more books asap, and please don’t change the narrator.
