Summary

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Driven series comes a powerful romance about reaching great heights through low depths.

Who says you have to play by the rules to get what you want?

Agreeing to meet Ryker Lockhart is my first mistake. Rich, handsome, and more than intriguing, he thinks blackmail will bend me to his will.

But he’s wrong.

I may have done a few things that weren’t exactly legal, but I have my own reasons for that. The last thing I’m going to do is let some high-powered divorce attorney come into my life, have my body, and rule my heart. Not to mention ruin everything that I have carefully built in just a short amount of time.

But as much as I try to resist him, and against my better judgment, there is something about him that has me agreeing to his proposal.

I’m putting everything on the line for him. I just hope I won’t lose everything when this is all over.

Adoreeee

Another hit by K. Bromberg.

Vaughn isn't your average woman. To an outsider she works an everyday waitress job, trying to get every shift possible to win over the care of her niece from social services but she actually works under a hidden identity and that's where the big bucks come from. No-one associated with her other life knows her as Vaughn, only V, until Ryker ploughs through her walls and discovers the truth.

Vaughn is a very intriguing character and from the start, I wanted to know what was going on. K. Bromberg throws you right into the story and I loved that. I thought there would be a twist and that Ryker wouldn't be the love interest because they just did not get on but that's the magic to enemies to lovers, workplace trope and K. Bromberg definitely wrote that well.

I didn't just love the characters, I also loved the plot. Everything that is happening with both characters is more than just their relationship with each other. Ryker needs to overcome his issue with women and Vaughn has a hell of a lot of demons locked away while she struggles to keep control of her life that she shows social services.

I listened to this on audio and will definitely be listening to book 2.

good read

I love the driven series and was worried if this could ever match up to that. I was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed this book a lot and can not wait till the 24th September for the next book.

Amazing, wow.

OMG the ending I had to re read the last chapter because I couldn't believe it. I really loved reading this, the characters are great and I'm so glad I left reading this until today so I can move straight onto Reveal.

Enjoyed the story

Disappointed with the ending… wouldn’t mind if there was a part 2… leaving it with that strange ending what’s the point.
