Hmmm...

Was a little dissapointed and disturbed by the story. If "Handmaids Tale meets Beauty and the beast with a twang of Phantom of the Opera" is to your licking, then this is a book for you.

*Dark*Intense*Revenge*Betrayal*

Requiem of the Soul is part 1 of a mafia romance trilogy from Natasha Knight and A Zavarelli. This audiobook is a twisted, raw, dark and intriguing listen. A story of revenge, betrayal and paranoia.

Santiago is a sovereign son, hell bent on revenge for the deaths of his father and brother. A marriage to Ivy is part of his revenge plan, and here begins a journey into the dark and broken soul that is Santiago.

This novel is a roller coaster. Santiago is all over the place internally, but externally he is cool, calm and collected, and just a little bit frightening. Poor Ivy has no choice in her fate, but her heart starts to melt and the connection between the two is intense, fascinating and electric. I was completely entertained and engrossed in this audiobook.

This story ends on an startling heart-stopping cliffhanger, that had me gasping and heading straight for the next installment.

I loved the two narrators, they both worked well hor me.

Book 1 ….. Great start 🔥❤️

I’m loving this story so far, I did not see that twist at the end coming. Ivy is a sweet young lady who has no clue why she’s treated so badly. Her brother and mother are evil and cold. Santiago is cruel, harsh and full of hate. He wants revenge, his sister wants revenge and Ivy was a child when the accident happened. In their psycho minds, they think abusing Ivy will give them the revenge they seek.
Ends on a cliffhanger…… moving on to Book 2

The narrators did a good job.
