About this listen

She must rule a kingdom that is against her...

Petra Maguire wants to fight for her people, not rule them. But by Oberon's decree, she is now queen of the new Carraig Sidhe kingdom. Problem is, many of her subjects would rather see her dead than on the throne.

As Petra struggles to unite her people, she must also join Jasper's quest to kill Finvarra before he can usher in a winter of Unseelie rule in Faerie. Torn between responsibilities, Petra will have to find a way to embrace her new role as royalty, while still staying true to her warrior roots.

And overshadowing everything is the imminent threat of the angry gods' return.

The Stone Blood Series is perfect for fans of Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher, and Ilona Andrews!

Warrior Queen stands up

I really enjoyed this book. This is book four and you must listen to them in order (but that is no hardship because they have all been great books) because the author doesn't waste anytime going over previous events, leavening more time for lots of action. What I like about this book and the series is that you never know what is going to happen next or which direction the story will take. The characters are well written and as this is book four some of them feel like old friends, you feel that you know them so well that as the story unfolds you can picture them on the big screen, having said that the book still as a few twist that you don't see coming. Can't wait to see how it plays out in the next book. Long live the Queen.
Petra is now Queen of a kingdom she never wanted, leaving her with some very difficult decisions. One of many Is who can she trust. Having killed the last and only Queen the kingdom has know while being under some else's control, she has her work cut out for to prove Oberon The high king was right In putting his trust in her and not in the rightful king, Maxim the son of the previous Queen. Despite being Queen Petra is reluctant to give up her warrior background, unless it is against her own people, she joins Jasper in his quest to kill King Finvarra before he can unleash winter on all of Faerie, with a small band of trusted comrades the pair will fight to the death for what they believe in and what is right. But can Petra find the way to be true to herself and the people who now relies her as ruler of the Carraig Sidhe.
I like the narrator and am pleased she has read all the books in this series giving it the continuity this great series needs to make it even better. Keep it up ladies and I look forward to the next book.
