About this listen
Nothing is fair in war. Jonathan King is every bit his last name.
Powerful. Untouchable. Corrupted. He’s also my dead sister’s husband and way older than me.
When I first met him as a clueless child, I thought he was a god. Now, I have to confront that god to protect my business from his ruthless grip. Little did I know that declaring a war on the king will cost me everything. When Jonathan covets something, he doesn’t only win, he conquers. Now, he has his sights on me. He wants to consume not only my body, but also my heart and my soul. I fight, but there’s no escaping the king in his kingdom.
Reign of a King is the first book of a duet and is not stand-alone.

Pushed up to the full 5 stars for the narration
I thought I was ready to get into the mind of Daddy King. I was not. And you are not. I have questions. I have feelings. I'm not quite entirely over this and all my thoughts have scattered, but I just went through the entire ring of emotions with this and I am ready for book 2 NOW. THIS. WAS. STUNNING. Throw in the duel narration with the MARVELLOUS team of Shane and Kiera and you get sucked entirely into a whole new level of King. I volunteered to read and review a complimentary copy of this. My opinions are my own.

Book 1 The story hasn’t gripped me
I don’t know what to make of this story, I had high hopes for it. It’s not dark, I’m slightly bored and I’m debating on whether to give book 2 a pass and not bother to finish the story. The main female character does an awful lot of talking in the mind and I’m not a huge fan of books that are written in this way. The narrators are very good, it’s the content that’s disappointing. This book doesn’t have a romantic feel to it at all.
