About this listen
Cloudan Coustre isn't the driving force to save humanity, the universe, or even the kitten stuck in his neighbor's tree. He isn't a father, brother, spouse, nor significant other to anyone. When it comes right down to it, Cloudan Coustre isn't even alive. What is he then? He is the embodiment of death, this day and age's version of the Grim Reaper. Mr. Coustre is fed up with life as death, but what is a deity in middle management to do to effect change? More importantly, what happens when he figures that out?
Welcome to a snap shot into the life of being death. In this psychopomp form, death decides that being a part of the living suits him. Just long enough to get himself caught up in a murder investigation, then he watches as it all unrolls. Ending in a place he would never have imagined.

Good performance
Good mythology & current blended story. There were several flashbacks that made it difficult to follow in audiobook since there wasn’t any warning in the audiobook format that the scene was suddenly jumping back. The narrator did a great job. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

What an Adventure!!
Cloudan Coustre was hilarious, witty, funny, sarcastic and the list goes on. I truly enjoyed listening to the Reaper's Revenge. It was written brilliantly, charged with mystery, twist and turns thrown into a moshpit of folklore and mythology. That being said, even with less than basic knowledge of these mythoi, you can still follow and enjoy the story. Moreover, one must appreciate the amount of research the author must have done to have written this book.
Christian V. Reinhardt did an incredible job with the plot and character development. The dialogue was superb with clever and witty banter. I had many LOL moments. As for the writing, it was excellent with exceptional vocabulary and clear transitions. There wasn't a single moment that I felt bored or thought that the story dragged.
As for the narrator, John Pirhalla, he was incredible. I absolutely loved him. He is quite talented, especially with different timbres and voices for all the various characters. He brought each one to life and gave them personality. I'd like to listen to more of his work.
I highly recommend Reaper's Revenge and I hope there will be a second book.

“A man with nothing left has nothing left to lose”
This book probably warrants a higher rating; the book is really enjoyable to listen to and the narration is great, but I just felt a bit lost and couldn’t keep up with what was happening once everyone came out as a mythic diety.
Well written, well narrated and really enjoyable!
This is my honest opinion of a free review copy.

A look into a life of death.
Cloudan is the Grim Reaper but he prefers being with the living.
He gets caught up in murder investigation and as he watches it all unfold things start to get strange.
I like the aspects of mythology are wound into the story and Cloudan’s sarcasm is great.

Witty and Captivating
Cloudan is the Grim Reaper in this tale, and this story is so filled with lore and backstory linked to myths that I hadn't heard of as in-depth as a few others may have. Still, there was no struggle to read what happens and it works well at introducing and explaining the myths in a way that wouldn't seem condescending - at I don't think it would. Cloudan's personality is everything I adore in leads of a story, the wit and charm always draws me in. It truly is a wonderfully written tale that I will likely listen to again and again
