About this listen
Lucien Valentine must die.
It’s the thought that’s kept me going for four long years. I’ve imagined it, dreamed about it, relished in it. I want it so bad, but the question is, do I have what it takes to make it happen?
Taking a life isn’t for the faint-hearted. Just ask Lucien, he knows.
He’s taken me back to where it all started, and I know exactly how it’s going to go. He’s going to hurt me, and then he’ll marry me off to his millionaire business partner, Marcus Mahony, who has even lower morals than he does.
I can’t let that happen.
I have to get out of here—even if it means finding out exactly what I’m made of—even if it means leaving a piece of myself behind.
I thought the past six months were insane. It turns out that I hadn’t even touched the surface. One thing is for sure, I will never be the same again.
Welcome. To. Hell.

Dark High School Romance
Real Girl by Sheridan Anne is a dark high school romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray. This is the fourth and final book in the Aston Creek High series.
I absolutely love Sheridan's books! She did a great job wrapping up the series. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Skylah and Slade over the course of the series. It was extremely messy, but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book.
Stefanie and Nathaniel did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this series if you're looking for a dark romance, bully romance, high school romance, or romantic suspense.

Epic Series Ending! Great Story & Narration🎧
Sheridan Anne takes her readers and audiobook listeners for a wild ride delivering this action packed finale to her “Ashton Creek High” series and it is quite the finale, a grand finale. This book picks up where the thirds book, “Wild Girl” left off with that mind blowing ending. Skylah sacrifices herself to save the ones she loves and now she is back to where it all began with Lucien and Maria, who have arranged her marriage to Marcus on her eighteenth birthday, which is rapidly approaching. Slade puts himself in harm’s way trying to rescue her and she is heartbroken over the outcome. Seeing no way out, they will force her to marry a monster, leaving one monster or two if you count Maria for another. Skylah does her best to redirect Marcus, which backfires on her, but with everything she has been through, she is about to give up. This thrilling and exciting conclusion is cleverly plotted, with the perfect balance of drama, angst, some snark and wit, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions, and a meant to be romance. I loved how much these characters grew over the series and loved the epilogue too. Sheridan Anne, thank you for another amazing series and wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Stefanie Kay continues to knock it out of the park with her incredible performance and Nathanial Gray joins her once again to cover Slade’s chapters and he is equally amazing. Their character voices have been fitting and consistent throughout, sounding believable and just how I imagined they would sound. And the quality of the audio and their performance has been top-notch. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and had you feeling each one. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Their narration enhances this already great story to another level. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

Gripping Ending to a fantastic series!
Now that is what I call justice! The conclusion of the Aston Creek High series is nothing short of satisfying! Picking up where book 3 left off, and you must read/listen to them in order, Skylah is back where it all began. Now waiting for her 18th birthday, hoping for a miracle, she is going to be wed to the biggest of monsters. No help from her adoptive mother, Lucien begins to once again abuse his stepdaughter, wanting "what he deserves" before her marriage. But once it does take place, and the boys are hot on the trail, where does it all end? Slade is front and center, but will he be able to save the love of his life? Talk about unexpected twists and turns in this series. I was on edge and shocked at the outcome of it all, and loved the wrap up of the series. Another winner for Sheridan Anne!
Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray give it there all as the suspense is high and passion even higher. Kay never lets Sky give up, keeping her stubbornness to get out and her bravery at an all time high. Gray keeps Slade moving, mostly even keeled, but angry as can be as his fear of losing Sky is apparent. These two work well together and gave an amazing performance.

Lucien strikes again!
Lucien has really done it now, how could he do that to Blake? Alas, he got his.
I loved seeing things come together for this group. I hated the path they had to take to get there. Lucien really pulled out all the tricks and made no apologies for it. He was ruthless. I cried with Sky when things went down with Marcus but I really didn't see any of that coming. I was shook.
Slade has his hands tied and is stuck in a bad situation, but Sky is in absolute purgatory. Things can't get any worse, then it hits the fan.
The drama was legit, the way things went down... that was everything. I loved the downfall and the suffering. I loved the way they got what they deserved. Skylah and Slade had a hard earned HEA but it was well worth it for them.
Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray were AMAZING!! They did so good on this book. I loved it.

Angsty Conclusion
Drama! Drama! Drama! Each turn was something explosive for Sky and Slade! Seriously these two could not catch a break! Lucien was his complete evil self as always! I was so glad for this couple to get their hard earned HEA!!!
Stefanie was fabulous as always!! Nathaniel though just didn’t seem to fit the role of Slade! He was thoroughly convincing as the villain but he didn’t give off that sêxxxxy confident Alpha which was a little disappointing!

Audiobook obsession reviewer, flock reviewer
This was just stunning. I spent the whole book wondering how Sheridan was able to write a book that ripped me to shreds like this. I did find that the narration added so much more depth to the story for me. I loved this book and the series was just incredibly well written. The twists and turns that the book took me on were such a journey. If you read one series this year make it this one.

Going through hell
Skyla goes through literal hell on this book. Forced into marriage and away from her family. All you want the whole time is for Skyla to get her revenge on these people who have had an effect on her life since she was a child.

Intense end
Skyla’s fight is far from over, she’s got so many battles ahead, but will Slade make it in time to save her?
There is so much going on, twists, turns, crazy W T F moments, vengeance, and a perfect ending for Skyla & Slade’s story.

Skylar and Slade!
Skylar will do anything for those she loves even if it means returning to the place and the people she was desperately trying to escape.
Slade knows that Skylar didn’t leave on her own accord, and he is determined to bring her back. With her brother unable to help he contacts an unlikely ally as they attempt to finally bring down the people who caused so much pain in the lives of the people around them.
Drama, suspense and surprises as nothing goes according to plan but that isn’t about to deter Skylar and Slade from their goal or change the love they have for each other. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they allowed us to feel all the angst as well as how perfect they were for each other. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions
