About this listen
A forbidden and angsty stand-alone romance from USA Today best-selling author Brooke Cumberland about an art student who falls for her off-limits art professor.
He’s my art professor.
I’m his student.
With an electric connection and undeniable chemistry, I know it won’t be long until one of us cracks. When the opportunity arose to pose nude for a life drawing workshop, I couldn’t help the thrill of knowing he’d be watching. While everyone else looked past me with their eyes narrowed and concentrated, drawing only the lines and angles of my body, he saw right through me down to my vulnerability. Professor Hampton looked at me like he wanted to do more than look at me. He saw more than just the physical aspects—he saw me.
How do we keep our distance when everything pulls us together? What feels so right can only go wrong if we keep pushing the limits.
Pushing the Limits is a stand-alone novel and recommended for ages 18+ for mature content. This book has mentions of sensitive topics: suicide, death of a sibling, mental health (anxiety and panic attacks), off-page self harm, and grief. This is a forbidden romance between a student and professor who are both legal and consenting adults. Please listen with caution.

So beautiful!!
I went into this book completely blind and so glad that I did.
This was so much more emotionally heavy than I expected, and the feelings I made me feel the healing I feel.
This story is focused on grief and dealing with the grieving process, and it was so beautifully written. I really loved the art in this book. I could really see the images in my head from the writing.
I felt so connected to Aspen with her anxiety attacks, and I loved how Morgan was so gentle with her and knew what was happening.
The journal letter broke my heart, and I cried so hard it was so beautiful and heartbreaking.
This was narrated by Vivienne Larue and Ryan Stone, and I think this was so well casted! They really fit the characters so well.
Vivienne really caught Aspen young playfulness but then brought the emotion and hurt that Aspen is feeling.
This is my first time listening to Ryan Stone, and I really enjoyed his narration and thought he had the perfect tone for Morgans character.

Morgan & Aspen
This audiobook took me on an emotional rollercoaster. Morgan and Aspen’s connection goes deeper than the seggsually charged tension between them, they have both been touched by heartbreak and death around them. Both of these could be felt through the book, the writing but most definitely through the amazing narration.

Emotionally charged...
Wow...Morgan and Aspen's story is such an emotional rollercoaster. Both of them are damaged and feel broken but find solace in one another. But with Morgan being her professor their happiness is on the line. With plenty of twists, passion, friendship and much more throughout. Can they work through their inner demons together and create a future together?...
Both narrators command your attention from the beginning and really bring the characters to life!!!

Good Forbidden Romance
Pushing The Limits is a heartbreaking, steamy forbidden romance. It held me in its grasp straight from the start. I loved that through the forbidden aspect they were both two broken souls that found peace within each other. I liked the emotional aspect mixed in with the spice, it was just the right balance. I appreciated that it was low on the drama, it was refreshing.
The character growth through the storyline was great, I really enjoyed that aspect. I loved how she expressed herself through her heart, how she opened up and who she became in the end. Morgan could've used a little more growth in my opinion, he was just missing something for me, I felt he was a little immature for his age. I loved them together, they're chemistry was definitely there, I just wanted it to be a little more taboo/forbidden (that's a me problem).
A good teacher/student romance with beautiful growth and a good storyline. It was well done, the plot was good and I loved that it went deeper than just their relationship.
🎧 The narration by Ryan Stone & Vivienne LaRue was good. I enjoyed listening to them. They were easy to understand, had the right tones, portrayed the emotions and characters well.

Great professor X student romance
Another great book from this author. it has all the excitement of a forbidden romance and all the sweetness of a cute romance. There were moments of this that felt really healing in the way he responds to her anxiety, and I absolutely loved that aspect of this book. would definitely recommend reading, and then narrators are absolutely brilliant
