Summary
We know you are here, our brothers and sisters. We will, one day, emerge from the Dome to join you in peace. For now, we watch from afar. Pressia Belze has lived outside of the Dome ever since the detonations. Struggling for survival she dreams of life inside the safety of the Dome with the 'Pure'. Partridge, himself a Pure, knows that life inside the Dome, under the strict control of the leaders' regime, isn't as perfect as others think. Bound by a history that neither can clearly remember, Pressia and Partridge are destined to forge a new world.

Loved it
Loved this, I'm not a big reader of this genre I warn you buttt I loved it. Details and back stories great, could be a little too pat in places but I was engaged and eagerly awaiting the next book.

teen dystopia
I have recently been taking some chances and buying audiobooks I have not already read as a paperback. This is one of them, I did try the sample and it was an intriguing story that came to me in a short blast. Both the Husband and I have listened to it and found it a good listen.

Interesting ideas but the plot falls a bit flat.
Three stars for interesting ideas and the world building effort. Also there were a few lovely contemplative moments and the writing style was enjoyable. The plot was a bit predictable and a couple of the voices of the narrators were a bit irritating. The idea of fusion of humans with objects, animals, other humans, etc., was very interesting but so far-fetched at moments that it was plain unbelievable.

An unusual idea
A lot of post-holocaust novels have been written, and they're usually nuclear holocausts. This book is a bit different, set after what are known as the 'detonations'. These detonations have fused objects and people together, so that they are joined to whatever they were touching at the time. This really widens the scope for the story. It could be a bit unbelievable, but it's been done well, and is an engaging story. I'm looking forward to the next one.

sci-fi apocalypse
The idea of a dome is not new. Arthur C Clarke's "The City and The stars" comes to mind. This however is a different way of using it. Great concept, almost visual in its descriptions and a striking storyline. Please hurry up with book 2 Julianna!

Not entirely sure.
Rather enjoyable concept, left feeling a bit shortchanged with the result and characters though. Actually It was quite good but maybe the pacing or narration was off for me when I listened too it. Don't rule it out I think I was just having a bad week when I listened too it.
