About this listen
Victor Bayne sees dead people for a living...and he sees them off the clock, too. After all, ghosts don't confine their appearances to a psychic medium's work hours.
From the macabre to the mundane, from titillating to tender, these PsyCop shorts feature stolen moments between the novels. Get a glimpse of Vic's life with Jacob between cases, from both men's viewpoints. Gain new insight on their psychic talents by accompanying them on odd jobs, shopping runs and family visits, or simply enjoy some downtime in the cannery.
The 20short works range in length from flash fiction to novelettes, woven together to create a novel-length narrative of Vic and Jacob's relationship from a fresh perspective. The stories are gleaned from various sources: anthologies, newsletters, and web, with four all-new pieces to tie the collection together and delve deeper into your favorite PsyCops' domestic life.

Very enjoyable
I loved listening to this just as much as I enjoyed reading it. The various stories were great insights into Vic and Jacob's lives, and the narration was very good to listen

A must for all PsyCop fans
A varied collection of twenty PsyCop stories, from brief vignettes to longer multi-chaptered novellas. Some delightful, some gripping, and all enthralling if you are a PsyCop fan. They are vaguely chronological in order, although Inside Out is a prequel or sort of flashback to a time before the series began and Everyone’s Afraid of Clowns and Witness are set in the future. Each story complements the fabulous series, providing a different slant on Vic and Jacob’s relationship, or give a glimpse into their everyday life. We are also treated to several smoking hot scenes. I particularly liked the occasional change of point of view. Both Lisa and Jacob get to tell us a story. I especially enjoyed Stroke of Midnight, Memento, Wood, Inside Out, and Witness. Wonderful world-building, great writing, and a superb romance!
As always Gomez Pugh narrates the stories in his distinct and flawless manner. He is Victor Bayne—snarky, humorous, fabulous. And my knees still go weak whenever I hear Jacob’s husky voice!

Flawless narration and spooktacular stories
Psycop Briefs is really a book for the fans. If you haven’t read the series, go now, buy it, read it or listen to the sexy, husky tones of Gomez Pugh narrating the audio books. Believe me. You won’t be disappointed.
But if you have read/listened to the seven books in the Psycop series, these 21 short stories in this anthology will be a delight. Jordan explains at the front of the book that some of the stories can be fitted in-between the timelines of the books, whereas others are tangents in the timeline. Each vignette is a snapshot into a world that I know and love, where Psycop Victor Bayne see’s dead people and his hunky lover Jacob Marks provides safe harbor and strong loving arms to anchor him to this world.
My favorite story was the final one, Witness. This is set after 'Spook Squad' and if, like me you are desperate for new Psycop, this will whet your appetite and make you ache even more for a new full length novel.
Once again the narration is flawless, and Jordan's words with Gomez Pugh's narration are audio book heaven.

I did not read any Psycop novel, first
Well, I did something unexpected. I read this as my first Psycop book. By accident (expecting it to contain the first three novellas at least) but with enjoyment.
Many scenes remain strongly in my memory and I have gotten a sense of the MC's characters.
I liked the long stories best, of course, because they had an arch.
The short stories were just reports of moments without beginning or end.
And all of them lacked solving crimes. No puzzles or procedures here.
The narration was well done.
