Former US Marine Jack Morgan runs Private, a renowned investigation company with branches around the globe. It is where you go when you need maximum force and maximum discretion. The most influential men and women on the planet come to Jack daily – and his investigators use the most advanced forensic tools to make and break their cases.
In L.A., Jack is already deep into the investigation of a multimillion-dollar gambling scandal and the killings of eighteen schoolgirls when he learns of a horrific murder close to home: his best friend's wife and Jack's former lover, has been killed. It nearly pushes him over the edge. Instead, Jack pushes back and devotes all of Private's resources to tracking down her killer.
And Jack doesn't have to play by the rules.

The amount of talk about “football”

I didn’t like the constant references to football, I completely turned off during the football stuff and was then confused when it returned to non sports talk

Twists and turns

Loved it, even if the narrator did have a dodgy Irish accent. Plenty to keep you guessing. Another great book from James Patterson

Disappointing

I normally love James Patterson books but this has too many plot lines which made all of them very weak.

good quick story

The story moved quickly, not too much character pointless stuff, just story. Don't get the point of the random music every now and again. good listen though

brilliant book, it's fast paced, and with all the books and movies made it's refreshing to be able to say 'i never saw that coming '

Absolutely Brilliant

My favourite is the Women's murder club books, But this book was just brilliant, love the new character, wish he had a different name.e than Jack. Reminds me of Jack Reacher. Brilliant books, but cannot watch Tom Cruise as Reacher, he is too short, old & just, Wrong. Should have been Chris Hemsworth. Thank you, looking forward to the rest.
