You have to make time for a good book
I enjoyed this book. There is so much going on in this book from a murder to a missing cat, planning a wedding to finding a dog a new home, all is entertaining and kept me listening until the very end. I had guessed who the killer was and why, despite the few twist or red herrings but it was still a lot of fun listening to Beatrice figure it out. The characters are interesting and work well together and I always enjoy spending time at the quitting shop even though I don't know a thing about quilting, it must be because there is always a good mystery to solve along side some good friends and animals.
Beatrice wedding is going to be a small affair as it is a second wedding for them both. Leading up to it is anything but. All the villagers want to help and her and her husband to be celebrate despite not being there on the day. This means party after party and with many people Beatrice being new to the village not knowing. One of the parties in there honour is a sombre affair, you could cut the tension in the room with a knife and that is before the host is found dead. Beatrice finds her wedding plans put on hold as she tries to help find the motive behind the death. He was rich and used his money and power to control his family but surely one of them didn't kill there own father? especially with Beatrice and the head of the police department in attendance. At the same time Miss Sissy in door cat goes missing and the elderly woman is out roaming the streets and woods looking for her, with a killer on the loss it's just another this for Beatrice to worry about. Will both mysteries get solved before the big day?
I liked the narrator. I have heard her read a number of books and always finds her voice to be pleasant.
