About this listen
Professor Matt Hunter is an atheist ex-minister and expert on religion, brought in by the police to advise on cases where there is a supernatural overtone. When they receive a report of strange whispers behind a blood-soaked door, they are baffled to discover a man, who will only speak in whispers under his breath, with the name Baal-barith tattooed on his chest.
They have no choice but to call in Matt Hunter. Matt knows that Baal-barith is an ancient Canaanite demon and was known as the spirit of 'blasphemy and murder'. But as more 'demons' appear around the city, the police and Matt must work quickly to find out what is behind this extraordinary situation.

Superb
This book was only marred by it's ending, in that it had one, I should have liked for it to go on forever, that's how much I enjoyed it.
Matt the trouble magnet is invited to join a TV show dedicated to the 'spate' of demonic posessions. It is a full on nightmare as with all of Matt's adventures and even features the faithful rabbit, albeit briefly.
It was not quite what I was expecting from this fourth book but it was just as magnificent a read as I'd hoped for.
Ben Higgins was a delight to listen to as always.

Darkly Disturbing and Gruesomely Gripping
In Possessed, Peter Laws takes his readers by the hand and leads them into a dark labyrinth constructed of an original blend of murder and exorcism, media and demons, religion and psychology. His characters are so real, I tried to take them by the hand and pull them out again!
A thought provoking blend of crime and horror, and an utterly compelling read/listen. I loved it!

Really like the whole story and Mat Hunter is a great lead for the story
Good story, the premise is great and the author has done his research. Really good summary at the end

Amazing!
I just hope this isn't the end of these stories. One of my favourite book series.

Ridiculous
I think you really have to love information on 'demon possession' to enjoy this book. I obviously didn't read the summary very well and didn't enjoy it. Plus it was quite confusing. Didn't manage to complete.

Did finish but was a struggle
Demonic possession is quite a favourite with me but I am very picky - and this one had so much promise but oh so darn long that I just desperately wanted to make it to the end. I honestly believe it would have played better had it been edited to 8 hours as there was far too much superfluous inaction and vapid conversation. Such a shame but I really did struggle not to skip many chapters in my haste to reach the conclusion - and even that was unsatisfying 'cos it had taken far too long and I was exhausted!!!
