I Got This Audiobook for My Wife
I recently bought this book for my wife, and I'm so glad I did. It's filled with practical advice and empowering information that can help women navigate the challenges of childbirth. The book emphasizes the importance of the mind-body connection, which I found fascinating.
By understanding how fear and anxiety can affect labor, my wife can stay calm and focused. The book also provides techniques to help her relax and manage pain naturally. I'm confident that this book will help her have a positive and empowering birth experience.

empowered and more confident about the process now
This is an end-to-birth guide, and I feel super-empowered, more prepared with regard to the birthing process. What really resonated with me was how the author married this emotional preparation with practical tools. I appreciated the time spent understanding how fear impacts labor and the options provided for its management. It was a balanced discussion where both hospital and home births were presented without judgment. Although some parts did feel repetitive, I thought it was thorough and easy to understand. I particularly enjoyed the list of questions to ask during pregnancy and labor. The additional resources accessed through Etsy are interesting, although I have not accessed them. I have found this book to be really helpful and preparing me both physically and emotionally for birth. Better prepared and more enthusiastic about the experience.

Empowered Birth Preparation - Expectant Dad
As an expectant dad with our second boy on the way, I decided to listen to this book to better support my wife during her pregnancy and labor. As a dad, I found the book gave me better insight into how I can be a supportive partner. It’s not just about cheering her on—it’s about knowing what’s happening, asking the right questions, and being present in a meaningful way.

Personal experience and evidence based
Great listen for anyone pregnant. I loved hearing how Melanie's personal experiences took her to Hypnobirthing and her reflections on her two birth stories. I'm a Hypnobirthing teacher myself and this book aligned with what I teach, plus it was an interesting addition to hear about reflexology and post partum practises. I am now intrigued to read her other book on feminine wisdom! Thanks for sharing Mel.

I wish I’d found Positive Birth Preparation earlie
I wish I’d found Positive Birth Preparation earlier in my pregnancy! Melanie Rossiter’s advice is practical, encouraging, and so empowering. I loved how she explained the connection between fear and the body during labor—it really helped me shift my mindset. The tools and techniques she shares made me feel more prepared, no matter how the birth might go. It’s not just informative; it’s like having a supportive guide walk you through the process. Felt like having an insightful chat with an expert
Felt like having an insightful chat with an experienced friend who genuinely wants to help. Melanie Rossiter’s voice is calm and encouraging, making the 3 hours and 13 minutes fly by, especially with the practical tips she shares about managing fear and staying confident during labor. Her experience as a hypnobirthing teacher really shines through, and I appreciated how she balanced science with personal anecdotes.
On the downside, some parts felt a bit repetitive, especially if you’re already familiar with birthing techniques or have read similar resources. Still, it’s a solid listen for first-time parents or anyone looking for a positive, supportive take on childbirth. It’s an empowering guide that could make a real difference for anyone preparing for labor, whether you're the one giving birth or supporting from the sidelines.
