About this listen

Two books in one! Compare how an Illinois farm and an Idaho potato farm use cow poop to grow our food. Full of fun, colorful illustrations that include cows, pigs, horses, goats, dogs, cats, tractors, poop spreaders, semi-trucks, compost turners, skid steers, and lots of poop.

Book one: "Poop on the Potato Farm"
Holy cow, this farm has no dung! How do they grow stuff without bovine buddies pooping 15 times a day?

Kelly can’t wait to visit her potato-farming relatives in Idaho. And with her faithful dog Willow by her side, she’s excited to discover the differences with her other family’s farm in Illinois. But when she gets to Idaho, she’s shocked to find out they’re successfully raising crops with no moo-ers and shakers to create compost!

Without any cowpies, how do they grow those taters so big?

Packed with farming facts, funny illustrations, and sidesplitting antics, kids will love this story about why this nutrient-full manure is crucial to supplying America’s essential foods. With a trip to the local dairy producer and learning about how natural fertilizer is collected and distributed, your children will become true excrement experts!

Poop on the Potato Farm is a gorgeously illustrated children’s picture book full of zany stories, amazing real-life facts, and games to play along the way.

Book two: "Everything on the Farm Poops"
Kids everywhere are fascinated with the farm and think poop is funny! "Everything on the Farm Poops" will take you on a visit to the farm and show you all of its stinky charm. But that stinky stuff has a purpose. Because without it, the garden and crops won’t grow.\

Bonus: There are two games included in the back of the book!

So cute!

Cute book that was great to listen to. What makes it great is I live on a farm and can relate to the smell. The pics on the PDF are awesome. So if you're in the car, it makes it a fun listen or if you're at home, play it over your Alexa and have the PDF available to show off the pictures. What's nice is the author uses the subject of poo to teach about how it is used in crops and the garden. Everything has a purpose, even poo!

Hilarious

The author takes the reader on a tour of the farm, introducing them to all of the different animals that live there and the poop that they produce. She explains that poop is an important part of the farm ecosystem, and that it helps to fertilize the soil and grow the crops. She also tells the story of a farmer who uses cow poop to fertilize his potato crop. She explains how the poop helps to make the potatoes bigger and tastier. She also includes some fun facts about poop, such as the fact that it can take up to four years for a cow pat to decompose. This book is short, but it is really gripping and funny.

Humor for the Kid

This book mixes humor with some cool farming facts.
Two big reasons to pick this one up:
First, it's incredibly fun and engaging with its colorful illustrations and hilarious poop-centric stories—kids just can't get enough. Second, it's surprisingly educational, giving a neat peek into how farms use natural processes to grow our food. A perfect blend of learning and laughter,
it's a must-have for any kid's bookshelf!
