About this listen
Soccer goalkeeper Jaden Sloup has his eye on Ella Kennedy, a woman who won’t date jocks or frat boys. He dons a pair of nerd glasses and hugs a laptop to convince her he’s a techno geek, and she agrees to go to with him to a cosplay convention in Las Vegas, where his team’s playoff game happens to be.
Jaden must juggle sizzling in the sheets with Ella against a soccer match and hanging with his frat-brother teammates. When a bully harasses Ella and challenges Jaden to a fight, he proves even a goalie can score.
Jaden and Ella are friends of Jax and Kimber from Dani Evan's hottest new adult romance - a story of obsession, passion, and surrender. Will you be the next contestant?

Love wins out!
This may be short but it is packed full of a great story! Jaden is the goalie for his college soccer team and has his eye on Ella. Ella is a technology geek, loves gaming and is into anime, but she does not like athletes or frat boys, which rules Jaden out! He figures his way into her life, thinking she has no idea about who he is. A fun fling and off he will go, what he doesn't count on is falling for her. Rachelle Ayala does it again, writing a story where the characters are easy to fall in love with and a message you can't miss. This one is especially poignant with life lessons at this life changing age. With beautifully envisioned costumes for the cosplay convention and fun on the soccer field, this story is a winning goal!
Charley Ongel and Tor Thom breathe life into this new adult story with their incredible chemistry. These two bring the story to life with wonderful voices that fit the age, and keep the heat and suspense high. It's an enjoyable listen.

Young Adult Romance
To be honest I didn't enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed other audiobooks by Rachelle Ayala. The characters are a bit young and frivolous. They lack a certain level of life experience that makes the story more interesting for me.
That said, Rachelle had still written a story about two people who experience personal growth at the same time as finding love. Jaden and Ella's story involves both of them addressing and changing their preconceived notions before they can accept their feelings.
This audiobook is easy to listen to despite lacking the usual depth expected of Rachelle Ayala's stories. It is short and fast moving, involving plenty of action (sexual and otherwise).
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
