About this listen

The puppet that wanted to be a kid. One of the immortal characters of children literature is the wooden toy Pinochio, whose creator, the Italian Carlo Collodi, was a prominent representative of the romanticism of the 19th century, known by his moralist and educational style and remembered only by this children¿s book which has been translated into most languages and made into several movies. The famed actor Carlos Muñoz, movie, theatre, and TV star wanted, with this interpretation, to honor his father, the unforgettable Muñocito, who was one of the pioneers of the art of the puppeteers in America.

A brilliant abreviation

That's how a good editor abridges a book! You cut the merely repetitive parts, the out-of-date paragraphs, the massively odd sentences to get a quick, vital, modern version. I usually don't buy abridged audio but I think Pinocchio actually needed a bit of cosmetics... Bravo!

Poor Mr. Munoz is not really good at voicing several characters. He knows only two types: a high-piched, rather annoying one and a stentorious, quite laughable tone. At the end he mixes up everybody and dialogues became very confusing. But I think he does his best, la estrella cinematográfica that he is.
