Story(s)
Although these were short stories in their own right, I enjoyed the fact that they followed on from one another and contributed to the whole picture of the lives and adventures of Stetson and Evelyn.

A FANTASTIC EXCITING VICTORIAN YARN.
I loved this storyline it was brilliant and captivating. It told of how women were unable to break the shackles of Victorian society and had to resort to deception in men's clothing to pursue careers. Stetson is a private detective who solves cases and outsmarts most men, while donning many a disguise. The main story flows expertly that follows a beautiful romance, while the crime scene investigations are in bite size chunks to be digested one by one or in full, so clever. The narrator was amazing and brought the characters together expertly and effortlessly and made them live. I can't wait for the next instalment of this delightful story. This is a must listen to, simply brilliant.

Great set of stories.
I was gifted book 3 in this series and decided to buy the first two so I could listen to them in order. I'm so glad I did! A really fun set of several novellas in each book following lesbian Stetson Goody, the crime-busting main character, who, whilst appearing to the public as the female assistant who takes bookings and runs the detective agency for the secretly non-existent Mr Xavier Wellington, shielding him from the public and his customers, IS actually the mysterious detective herself, and solves many crimes not only in the undercover role of the male detective but as other male characters too. Throw in a bit of Victorian lesbian romance and you've got a very enjoyable set of books.

More thoroughly enjoyable stories of Stetson
I have actually listened to the first of these books a couple of times. It's like ear candy. I was really pleased to see a second book released on audio.
This is just as enjoyable and fun as the first. Such a wonderful comfort listen.
The narrator is spot on, again. I think I could listen to her telling Stetson stories all day. And I did.
The description is an accurate summary, if that sounds like something you'd enjoy then this book absolutely delivers. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
The story of the box was intriguing.
More Stetson and Evelyn please. With Jennifer Lewis as the narrator, she really does bring the characters to life.
