About this listen
Size matters.
Pixies are supposed to be petite, beautifully lithe creatures with gossamer wings. Sporting luscious, ombre pink hair and fluttering pink wings, Phil meets two out of three of those criteria. At over six feet tall, no one would dare call Phil petite.
As a home-and-hearth pixie, Phil yearns to find a home and family he can bond to. When no one's willing to hire a pixie of his stature, Phil is forced to find work elsewhere. Turns out, pixies make terrible bouncers.
The sudden death of Sedrick's brother and sister-in-law left Sedrick Voss a pack of one—plus two young, traumatized were-children. Sedrick needs help. He needs a home-and-hearth pixie. But pixies are small, delicate creatures nowhere near sturdy enough to stand up to a couple of growing werewolves. Phil seems like the perfect answer—a pixie that might be able to physically withstand small werewolf teeth and claws.
Phil is overjoyed, finally able to do a job that speaks to his heart and soul. But peace is a hard-won commodity. Sedrick is in the middle of a nasty custody battle with his niece and nephew's maternal grandfather—one of the most arrogantly deceitful werewolf alphas to ever lead a pack. If their grandfather gets custody, Sedrick's niece and nephew are in for a lifetime of manipulation.
Between the custody battle, noxiously invasive garden gnomes, and fairy lawyers, Phil and Sedrick struggle to keep their home and family safe. Werewolves and pixies don't mate. Phil and Sedrick are about to challenge that misconception.

cute and fun!
a sweet and fun story that gives you comfort! if it's smut you're after, this might not be the book for you. but as an avid smut-holic, this book was really good even without the spice!

Very good book
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the storyline was interesting. I especially loved Phil. He was so sweet. The book has suspense as well as romance. It is different from a lot of other books in that the characters are not constantly hopping into bed with very descriptive scenes. It is actually refreshing to read a book that is able to carry itself based on plotline without the need to constantly have explicit scenes. Towards the end there is more description between the MCs. No, it isn't pure 'smut' but it is still a little descriptive. The narrators were good. The kids didn't exactly sound like kids but it wasn't that noticeable and didn't detract from the book. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Very good
I was super cute and sweet.
It was a good story with some good tropes: found family, single dad, opposite attract/Grumpy x Sunshine... I also loved the two narrators whom were new to me! I'll definitely check other audios narrated by them.
The only thing which was really missing was the smut. I'm a smut lover and I kinda felt a s€x scene was teased throughout the book but nada-which was a bit disappointing but I still very much liked the book. (and no, the scene in the epilogue was not smut).

Cosy fantasy with a bit of romance
I really liked the setting of this story. There are many different fantasy species living in the same place. I enjoyed hearing about how different they all are.
The best part was the pixie, who'd always been a misfit thanks to his size, finding a home to care for.
It's good for someone who wants a sweet story with 1950s gender roles but make it gay and biological. Just don't think into it all too much.
I think it would have benefited from a good developmental edit as it has the base of a good story.
There is romance, but both characters are more focused on the children than each other. Their connection wasn't fully there for me.
There is some mentions of cocks and a collar early on that suggest there will be sex scenes, but there isn't any. There isn't even makeout scenes.
I got fed up by the end because the third-act conflict relied on everyone, including a lawyer, being stupid and not communicating well.
There is child neglect by one of the main characters at the start that's never really addressed. They're fed and clothed, but he doesn't check things like bathing correctly, leaving them without shampoo. He cares about them, but he probably shouldn't be left in charge of any living beings.
I like the narration.
