About this listen
Ren Dunbar is used to never fitting in—anywhere. Graduating high school at 13 and med school at 19 pretty much guaranteed she’d always have trouble proving she belonged, but she’s okay with that. She prefers the solitude of the lab over the raucous atmosphere in the OR, which would be fine except she’s a surgery resident. Winning the Benjamin Franklin Prize in surgery is just the proof she needs to show everyone she deserves to be part of their world.
Dani Chan knows she’s disappointed her family in choosing a mundane clinical career—in surgery no less—over the far more valuable world of medical research. When she wins the Franklin Prize and the national acclaim that comes with it, she’ll finally gain their approval, and maybe, at last, their affection.
Ren and Dani set out to win, no matter what it takes, but their unexpected attraction is an obstacle neither has counted on, and love may be the final reward.

Another great story
I loved this medical romance. It is a fantastic storyline that shows how love in a hospital can work. A beautiful romance.

Still works
The series worked well with likeable characters and engaging storylines. I really enjoy medical dramas but don’t envy the workload described in these books.

Robotic narrator
I was really looking forward to this but the narration is quite robotic and monotone which was off-putting for me. It spoils the story- I’m sure if I read the book I’d enjoy it.

Could not finish this one!
I love a Radclyffe as much as anyone, but this book was mediocre at best.
My main problem was the narrator. She sounded like AI. Perfectly pronounced words in long sentences with no breath ending in a flat tone. It was so annoying that I ended up listening to her voice and not the story, trying to determin whether she was real or artificial. I couldn't finish the book.
My conclusion is she is AI and ruined the story.

truly dreadful narrator, returned for refund
pauses in inappropriate places interrupting the flow of the text to the point of making the story unintelligible.
