About this listen
1508
Sebastian Drake, stoic protector of the Drake family, always gets what he wants - and there is nothing he wants more than the half-starved Pedigree omega named Peregrine he comes across on his travels. It doesn’t matter that Peregrine is a disgrace. Sebastian will do whatever it takes to keep him...and somehow, as impossible as it might be, find a way to be his mate.
Present Day
For hundreds of years, Peregrine has enjoyed life as Sebastian’s mate. Sure, as one of the only bonded omegas in recent history, he’s been kidnapped more times than he can count, but with Sebastian there to save him, it’s little more than an inconvenience. And attacks from hostile clans? That’s just a typical Tuesday.
But there is one thing Peregrine fears yet desperately wants.
One thing that has hurt him time and time again.
One thing Sebastian can’t save him from.
And now it’s happening again.
He’s pregnant.
Peregrine is an 85,000 word omegaverse mpreg romance set prior to as well as following the events of the Forbidden Desires series. It has answers to questions you’ve been dying to know, and contains heartache, laughter, origin stories, meddling reptilian families with huge hearts, exotic locales, a dash of danger, and a love story 500 years in the making. For maximum enjoyment, Peregrine is best enjoyed following the events of Clutch, Bond, Mate, Swallow, Magpie, and Finch.

Best of the series
Reading Peregrine will make you want to clutch your Kindle to your chest and squeeze. So good! This one runs the gamut of emotions - please mind the trigger warnings. That said, I just loved this book. Perry and Sebastian are fantastic together and the love we see in this story is pure, unadulterated adoration. Michael Ferraiuolo narrates the audiobook and just takes everything great about this story and brings it to the next level. You experience the characters and hear their voices, not a narrator reading lines. Highly recommend!!

A Very Moving Romance, Ferraiuolo is Stunning!
Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly’s Forbidden Desires series continues with Peregrine. If you haven’t delved into this series yet, start with Swallow and you’ll be addicted too.
I’m so glad to find out that gruff, growly Sebastian has such a warm, gooey heart. It took for him to find a real treasure for it to come out, and it’s wonderful. And Peregrine’s hurt/comfort tale is very moving. (Did anyone not tear up at that ending?) Very moving.
I’ve enjoyed this series in audio, performed by the marvelous Michael Ferraiuolo. Mr. Ferraiuolo's skill with accents, and his ability to create a unique voice for each character, is simply amazing. Listening to him perform anything is a treat, but his voice acting skills truly shine when he performs the books in this series.

An Everlasting Love.
MM romance, Perregrine and Sebastian's story is emotional and enthralling and is told throughout their centuries long relationship. Their love is strong and they have lots of good and bad times throughout their relationship. Beautifully told by Michael Ferraiuolo.

Just Brilliant!❤️❤️🥰🤩
Piper Scott & Virginia Kelly do it again!
Excellently crafted storyline, rotating from past to present and all the characters from each book are incorporated.
This audiobook also has a predominant characterisation of Bertram (Frederick) and Raven, predisposing the final book to explain their story and how each previous audiobook/book intertwines with them.
This series is absolutely AMAZING 🤩 I can’t recommend this enough!
Michael Ferraiuolo is fantastic as expected narrating this series and his accents are brilliant! Just love it 🥰
Can’t wait to hear the final instalment but will be sad at the same time 😩
Definitely gets 5🌟’s from me!

Fantastic addition to an amazing series
I am so happy to have a story for Sebastian and Peregrine. They have been an established couple right from the start of the Forbidden Desires series so it's great to get some of their history and current story as well as getting to know them both better. Sebastian has always been this surly, more distant alpha but with clear and obvious love for Peregrine whilst Peregrine has been serene and so welcoming to all who have joined the family since the beginning.
I would say this is a series to read/listen to in order as it helps as the Amethyst clan grows, adding mates, clutches and babies whilst also having an overall plot that develops with each new story. This book also comes with a warning as it discusses miscarriage and the impact of that.
This story is told a little differently as we flit between 1508 when the two first met and current times when they have some stressful events between a pregnancy that makes the two very nervous and an outside enemy who is dangerous to them all. I definitely see the two MC's in a different light after reading what they have been through together since Sebastian and his brother came across Peregrine when he was at the market and a disgrace. In current times they now know differently but back then it was still very traditional so when Sebastian takes Peregrine as his mate it causes a little bit of a stir. I was already all for Peregrine with his love for all and serenity in the light of all that has happened in the series so far but I now see Sebastian in a whole new light as we get to see his complete love and devotion to his mate right from the very first moment and it has never wavered, only grown stronger and he is continually in awe of his mate. Things get dicey for the two with a pregnancy that does not go their way and a new enemy that causes trouble for them.
There are highs and lows throughout, of course, and it's gripping from the start. This is yet another piece of exemplary story telling from Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly (Lynn Van Dorn). You think that the series cannot get any better and yet with each book it blows you away, always getting me fully invested and behind characters that you weren't quite sure of. This will be especially important when it comes to Bertram and his omega! There is no love lost for me when it comes to those two after this story so it will be very interesting to see what the authors come up with to win readers over towards them.
The narration, also yet again, is fantastic. Michael's voices for each individual characters have held up across the whole series. I know who each one is and they carry all of the strength each man possesses. I was completely blown away with one specific piece of dialogue toward the end of this book where so many of their voices are used in only a couple of sentences, just brilliant.

Incredibly written and narrated
I can't say enough good things about this series and the outstanding narration by Michael Ferraiuolo. I read this book as soon as it came out and loved it, and the audio version did not disappoint! Michael's narration was as vividly lifelike as always, and he had me instantly hooked on Sebastian and Perry's journey. Though Perry and Sebastian have been mated since before this series began, there's so much I didn't know about their relationship. The way this book was split into "present day" and "1500s" timelines made it even easier for me to explore how Perry and Seb first met. It was such a delight to see those first interactions and watch as they fell in love, even if their story had much more pain and suffering than I was expecting. For those who find descriptions of miscarriage and loss of a child triggering, please take caution with this story. In my opinion, the level of sweet romance and sorrow was nicely balanced, but there were sections of this audio that were difficult to get through, even though I knew I could count on a happy ending. The "present day" timeline was more suspenseful than I was expecting--for those who are curious about Raven, this book finally started to piece together the mystery and explain why he has been targeting the Drake family for so long. And of course, no Forbidden Desires book would be complete without deliciously steamy mating and heart-melting confessions of love. Even though Perry and Seb have been together for centuries, their love burned just as bright and passionate as ever, and it was such a joy to experience a small taste of the happiness they had with each other.

Super
I loved the book but I didn't like the switching from past to present but MF has taken it to the next level with his narration, especially of Perry's emotional turmoil.
I've enjoyed the series and Bond will always be my favourite as I completely adore Harry but the emotional factor of this is a close second.
I highly recommend the whole series but I'm also impatient for Raven, which is going to be interesting in its redemption of Bertram/Frederick and Raven himself. I can only speculate as to whether separation caused his mental breakdown.

The Greatest Love Story
Wow! This is such a great story. There is so much joy, sorrow, hope, despair. angst, and love. But at the heart, this is the tale of absolutely the greatest love story. Sebastian and Peregrine suffered so much loss, but they were always there for each other, and they never gave up. I have waited forever (it seems) for Perry's story. He always supported and comforted and reassured all the other omegas, and I loved him, but you could always tell there was some sadness in him. Now we know why. The epilogue was incredibly beautiful...I would have listened to the entire audiobook for that chapter alone. That said, BE WARNED if you have ANY TRIGGERS related to difficult pregnancies, painful labor, or miscarriage...this audiobook will tear you apart.
We are still left with questions about what happened in the final battle, Bertram, and Raven. I honestly agree with Iggy, spill the beans or can them. (Seriously, I really need that story ASAP!)
The narration by Michael Ferraiuolo was fantastic as always. He really knows how to bring a story to life!
