About this listen
Pemberley is Mr Darcy’s splendid house, and it is there that, amidst their relatives one Christmas, his pride and his wife Elizabeth’s prejudice find themselves once again provoked. Told with stylish irony combined with insights into the emotions and mores of 18th-century English high society, Pemberley is an elegant and diverting social comedy, a novel of genuine originality.

Enjoyed this
I have been exploring various sequels to Pride and Prejudice. Emma Tennant does capture the writing style of Jane Austen. Aspects of the plot will take some digesting, but overall, enjoyable.

Bored
Story was weak, it started well but my interest waned. Narrator was very good though.

pemberley review
loved listening to this but some bits were not realistic-especially the fact charles bingley had a child with a french woman prior to getting married to jane bennet. Seemed a little unlikely and is not something jane austen would have written.

Awful book
The only positive thing about this book was the narrator, the story was disjointed & unbelievable. Lydia has managed to produce 4 children in the year Elizabeth & Darcy were married ??? The story feels like great chunks have been cut out. There is no explanations when it suddenly jumps to an ending.
It's a shocker , leave well alone!
