Summary
Dr. Emma Steele is baffled when she finds herself dressed in mental health blues, tied to a stretcher, in her own ER.
She was hunting for a killer. She found him.
Just as he found her.
He planted evidence accusing her of his crimes.
She’s innocent, so she’ll be free soon. She has friends who’ll help.
Twice wrong.
Things can’t get any worse.
They do.
Her challenges: A community decimated by the raging opioid epidemic. A charming psychopath dealing in drugs and sex. A daughter who hates her. An ex who doesn’t. Blood, guts, and death. Betrayal. And wine.
A captivating audiobook for medical junkies. Growing suspense, breathless twists and turns, crisp dialogue, unforgettable characters, and dark ER humor. A cocktail of medicine and suspense in the vein of Gerritsen, Cornwell, and Cook.
You’ll love Overdose if you crave ER drama with split seconds separating life from death. You’ll love it if blood, drugs, and dislocated joints give you the warm fuzzies. You’ll love it if you long to see what’s inside the mind of a serial killer. Overdose: a novel with strong, flawed characters entangled in complicated relationships, life and death fights, and wine. Mostly red.

I enjoyed the amazing narration of Meghan Kelly
Emma Steele is an ER doctor, a mother of a teenager. She finds several patients with overdoses of drugs that do not react to normal medicinal procedures. Trying to determine the drug and where it is from leads to several avenues, and when one choice is internal, everyone is suspect. murder and attempted murder of several staff.
This book has lots of twists and turns as well as fast moving. packed full of intrigue and suspense with plenty of twist and turns to keep you guessing.

Gives me General Hospital vibes
As a proud Gen X person, this series gives me General Hospital vibes. Secrets, co-worker drama, water cooler gossip and a mystery.
Yep totally a soap opera 👍

Ok !!!
This story is probably pretty old because by now fentanyl is nothing new, it’s all over the United States it’s an epidemic which can’t be stopped and in this beautiful story which the author Rada Jones have written it’s totally new that the doctors burly have seen the distraction which this drug combines with heroin is causing now which is about a half a million death of overdose a year only at the States.
The story itself is beautifully written full of mystery and twists.
Meghan Kelly perfectly narrated this book and was a great choice for that job.

Really engaging
This was an unexpected find and I really enjoyed it. I didn't realise until writing this review that this was written by an MD it didn't feel like that, it was really engaging.
It was set in the past and the drugs have moved on but still made the story engaging and worked well.
Definitely be investigating this author and narrator in the future. I want to know how this series pans out.

Overdose
A good read. Emma Stone is head of the ER. She has someone overdosing her patients, then pegging it on her.Can she get out of this one? Meghan Kelly was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great!
A most enjoyable story set in the Emergency Room. Plenty of twists and turns along the way to keep the listener engaged and interested in the developing storyline. A mixture of likeable characters and some maybe not so much. Recommended listen.
Meghan Kelly did a great job of the narration.
