About this listen
In Operation Happiness, happiness strategist and life coach Kristi Ling teaches you how to create immediate, positive shifts in your life by proving that happiness is a skill that can be cultivated, learned, and mastered - much like playing an instrument.
After experiencing a long-term illness, a divorce, and the sudden deaths of loved ones, Ling spent years studying the science of happiness. She focused on identifying and testing specific emotional support tools. During this process, she discovered something that goes against everything we've been lead to believe about happiness: it isn't just something you feel, it's something you do. Based on this discovery, Ling outlines the three foundational principles that lead to a life of joy: change your view, make over your mornings, and create new habits.

Lots of valuable tips
You can tell that alot of love went in to writing this book. There are some really valuable tips in here. They seem quite obvious and even though I've heard some.of the advice before it was lovely to refresh myself as I had let go of some good habits. I leave my phone in a different room at night now and I've started to actually plan fun times to bring more daily happiness in. The book can be repetitive but I feel this is necessary to really 'hear' the suggestions. My favourite part was when the author shared her own life experiences and how she picked herself up from these. I will listen again and complete some of the exercises and implement them. like anything in life.. happiness doesn't just 'happen'.. we need to work on it all the time 😊

Meh
Some good suggestions but nothing new and very repetitive. It could have been a lot shorter.

Uplifting
I read a lot a self help and don’t normally post reviews but I really enjoyed this book. It was included as part of the audible membership so I would definitely recommend it. The author/narrator has a very pleasant and positive voice.I found the book very enjoyable and uplifting and have already started to use some of the tips.

Frustrating
I love a good book on Happiness and positivity, but this book did not help. I listened up to Chapter 12 waiting for the advice that she kept promising. Mostly during these chapters she spoke about herself and what you WILL learn. By the time I got to Chapter 12 and I think was actually got to some key advice, I'd lost interest in her and did not trust that she had valuable information to depart. Shame.
