About this listen
Can a fake relationship between best friends turn into the real thing?
After years of estrangement from his parents, Nick is finally going home for Christmas, but not without backup. He wants moral support, so his best friend and flatmate, Jackson, agrees to pretend to be his partner, so he can go with him. It’s easy for Jackson to be convincing when his feelings for Nick are as genuine as ever. He put his crush on the back burner long ago, but acting out a role he’d love to play for real is harder than he imagined. Holding hands, kissing under the mistletoe, even sharing a bed for the sake of the charade...he can’t help wondering what he’s let himself in for and whether his heart can take it.
Emotions run high as Nick grapples with family issues, and the sexual tension between him and his best friend becomes difficult to ignore. But if he and Jackson give into the temptation to be fake boyfriends with benefits over the holiday, what will it mean for their future as friends once Christmas is over?
This audiobook contains best friends to lovers, pretend boyfriends, daddy issues, mistletoe, and a happy ending - of course.

Wonderful story and narration
I liked this book so much more than I thought I would! It's friends-to-lovers, fake relationship romance with great narration. I don't like overly sweet romance but this one was just right. Characters felt realistic, a bit insecure and awkward and real. And the hot scenes were really hot! Definitely worth listening!
Narration is awesome! All characters have own voices and narrator's timing and pace is perfect.

A Favour That Changes Everything.
MM, Fake Relationship, Friends to lovers, Contemporary Romance. An easy to listen to, overall light-hearted and sweet romance with some wit, humour and heat there is some light angst at the beginning. An enjoyable story to listen to with a guaranteed HEA. Well narrated by Hamish Long. Quite a large part of the story is based at Christmas but I would happily listen to it throughout the year.

Nick and Jackson
I love friends to lovers and Jay has done so magnificently. Nick is estranged from his parents, due to his father's drunk behaviour, but Christmas is coming with the first grandson, and Nicks mum wants all the family together. Nick won't go without backup and asks best mate and roomie Jackson to come along as his pretend partner. It was fun to watch as these 2 realise that it isn't fake for long. Hamish did great narration

Lovely best friend/fake relationship story
Nick and Jackson are a pair best friends who live together. Nick is estranged from his family, but has been invited to come home for Xmas. He asks his best friend to go with him (as his BF), mostly to have someone in his corner and partly to shock his parents.
This is a lovely story of patching up a family estrangement and finding love right under one's nose. The relationship between both men is seamless, I sometimes wondered why it took them so long to realise they were good for each other - though it does give us a lovely story to read :)
The narration is excellent! Hamish Long has such a brilliant range of voices, none of the characters sounded alike - none! It was like watching a rom-com, except listening. Loved it so much!

Brilliant Holiday story!
I loved this sweet, best friends-to lovers, fake relationship story. Despite being sweet it’s not completely low-angst, as Northcote’s stories are never dull, shallow or too fluffy.
Nick has a ton of issues to overcome, a lot of his past and family history to come to terms to before even beginning to consider that his love for his best friend and flatmate Jackson in less than brotherly or platonic.
Jackson thinks he has overcome his crush on Jackson ages ago, but when they stage a fake relationship in order for Nick not to face Christmas with his family alone, his feelings come back with a vengeance!
As usual Hamish Long is the perfect fit for narrating Jay Northcote’s story, with his lovely British accent he just transports me in the heart of England every single time!

Another great book
This was a lovely friends to lovers Christmas story. Both characters were likeable but each have some issues and it gets emotional at times but nothing like magic of Christmas and kissing under the mistletoe will help see each other differently and they help each other heal. As usual Hamish Long did a brilliant job narrating. I enjoyed listening to this 💜
