About this listen
Ever struggled to say 'no' to an expensive dinner with friends? Found yourself unable to ask for a payrise even though you deserved it? Got stuck in an overdraft and felt too ashamed to tell anyone?
From friendships, to ambitions, to mental health, money plays a huge role in our lives and relationships, yet we're often too polite or embarrassed to talk about it. But in an age of pay-gap exposés and growing inequality, conversations about money are more important than ever.
The Money Book is an outspoken, warm and timely book that destigmatises the way we talk, think and feel about money. It's full of conversations about money in everyday life - how we earn it, how we spend it and how it affects us. Whether learning from friends, being transparent with partners, finding community with colleagues or recognising what you're worth, talking about money means letting go of shame, and creating a healthy relationship with your finances. Full of sympathetic, practical advice on everything from mindful spending to the freelance jump and how to challenge the status quo, this is a book that strips away the awkwardness, to help you find the power and solidarity of talking about money.

Transformational and highly relevant!
This book covers a topic which is seldom talked about - but much needed!! It gave me such freedom from guilt to start addressing my financial relationships. I now feel much more confident that I'll be able to achieve a positive relationship with money. Thank you!

Open up - a great place to start from
Really enjoyed the whole content. I am in process of a make over for my financial freedom and this book helped me to think more strategically. Found a bit frustrating the author is so stressed on gender and feminist topics more than anything else. I understand the changes we need in modern world. Anyways in general I enjoyed the open up way. Thank you.

Highly recommended and thought provoking
I have really enjoyed listening to this, I am going to recommend it to my daughter who is in her twenties, I wish I had something like this at her age. Money always seemed like a mystery to me and I was terrible with it. This book offers so many great pieces of advice on many aspects of money but not in a preachy way. All of the case studies are really interesting and whatever your age you will learn something.

Amazing Book
This was a great book, helping open the conversation around money. In a none patronising way. This has encouraged me to continue writing my own book regarding money. Must Read

If you are new to thinking about personal finance.
This is a great book if you are looking to unpick your relationship with money and feeling more in control of your personal finance. There are also lots of info about pay negotiations, which is really solid.
