Summary

What!?!
I was enjoying this getting to know the three sisters but what happened to the mystery? By the time the mystery got going and they had decided their godmother was murdered that was pretty much the end of the book and nothing really got solved. The story is told by all three sisters and I enjoyed it most when it was the younger sister Bea's turn, she is the most interesting of the sisters and the one with the obvious newly acquired powers. She is also the first to start investigating and the most impulsive, just a great character, especially with her sidekick of a talking sheep toy. It has the usual rivalry between the siblings and focused a lot on the dynamics between them. This is obviously going to be a long running mystery of what happened to there godmother and there is still a lot to learn about the three sisters, for me the biggest (other than who is the murder) is what powers hasn't the oldest sister revealed? As the story has been set up so well I will probably jump right into the next book and hope for some answers and more of a mystery.
Three sisters who had gone there separate ways are brought back together after the death of there godmother, the woman who raised them. She wanted her ashes to be scattered on the beach under a full moon but in a thunderstorm is probably not there best idea. At least they are on there own apart from a stray dog and lightening. After no I'll effects from the strike the next morning the sisters are in the godmother shop trying to decide what to do with it. It's only then that Bea and Amanda discover not every is all right. Especially when the police turn up to search the shop for a stolen purse. Could there godmother be dealing in stolen goods? Bea doesn't think so and sets out to prove it, with or without her sisters help even if she is stuck in a wheelchair. She also comes to be conclusion that maybe her death was no accident either.
I liked the narrator. She used her voice well to portray the different characters both make and female, I especially liked the voice she used for the toy.
