Beautiful story with excellent imagery
Just a wonderful book that gets better with each listen, i found the narrator to be super engaging and able to bring the characters to life.

No idea what the story is about but I loved every second of it
Honestly some of the most beautiful word sequencing I’ve ever read. It was such a beautiful book.

the narrator's exaggerated pronunciation of names was simply exhausting. Better off getting a hard copy

Hard to follow the plot, flits around and with the names of the characters being so similar it was very easy to get lost in the story.

Too prosaic for my tastes
I read this book in the 1980s and found it hard work and didn’t enjoy it. I often wondered why so I gave the audible version a go. I accept it is incredibly well written but it really is not my thing.

Take your time
Take your time with this and I recomend to bring out a chart of the family tree to look at now and then while you listen. There's alot of names and stories to keep track on but if you take your time and look up the family tree and just enjoy the many small stories within this whole story it's truly an unique and memorable experience. I love this book!
