A different kind of wolf story

I really enjoyed the twist in this shifter book. Trina did an excellent job in creating this shifter world that was a bit different than you would normally find, and the storyline keeps you engaged until the very end. I’m looking forward to listening to book 2 in the series. Sarah Puckett also did a good job in bringing Alexa’s characters to life.

**I enjoyed the narration of this book. This was the first Puckett Ive heard and she did well with all the different characters. It was easy to follow along as it had a love triangle between Alexa, Aris and Chaz. Each male bringing different desires and connections to the table. This kept the story going but I think the power/emotional connection between Alexa and each love interest was downplayed a bit and could have been more of the focus. So I feel like while this had a love triangle the focus was on the back story and setting up the rest of the series. I enjoyed the main character as a strong female lead outside of the bedroom but she was so back and forth with her feelings its hard to tell where she will go for the rest of the series. The story has a bit of a twist and has a mild cliffhanger. Good start to the series

Excellent narration, enjoyable story

I have to hold my hands up and admit I love listening to Sarah Puckett. She does such a great job with the characters that I forget it's only her and just get sucked into the story.

I enjoyed the world this book sits in and the idea is a good one. The characters are good, I enjoyed getting to know them and watching their relationships play out. I feel that the story moves quite slowly and is maybe a little long winded but I still enjoyed it. I completely didn't get the twist that is revealed right at the end! I need to know what happens next....

Compelling

The narrator did a fantastic job of giving the main character voice and bringing her to life. The story kept me hooked throughout. Wasn't crazy about how she judged people. Seemed okay for people she knew to kill but not others. Also the alpha was definitely not a normal alpha you read about so that was different. All in all the entire story was compelling.

A special kind of wolf!

Alexa is an Alpha wolf, but that is not all she is. She attracts all kinds of supernaturals with her powers. There is one powerful vampire and a sweet wolf after her. She will have to decide what's best for her. Lots of action, drama and a great paranormal world building.
The narration was awesome. Smooth voice.

Loved it!

This was such an awesome shifter story, I loved the dynamic between Alexa, Arys, and Shaz! Since this was the first in the series, we do get a lot of background information and we learn a lot about our main character; who is a bad*** chick, in my opinion. Definitely a unique story that reminds me of some of my favorite urban fantasy romance novels and authors. Very well written with a few interesting and partially devastating surprises.

Sarah Puckett gives us another fabulous performance! She plays Alexa so well and made this story fly by.

I can't wait for the next book from this author narrator duo!

Loved it!!!

This was a great shifter romance! The characters were very well written. The storyline was unique, intriguing and kept me enthralled right to the end! I can't wait to listen to more of this series!

Very good

This book is well written, and preformed even better.

There were a few things within this book that I found a little odd, but that is just me. I also found a few things a little too predictable. Overall, my opinions aside, it was well written and preformed. I did love the idea of the book!
