Summary

New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh dives beneath the surface of her Psy-Changeling world into a story of passionate devotion and selfless love . . .

Security specialist Bowen Knight has come back from the dead. But there's a ticking time bomb in his head: a chip implanted to block telepathic interference that could fail at any moment - taking his brain along with it. With no time to waste, he should be back on land helping the Human Alliance. Instead, he's at the bottom of the ocean, consumed with an enigmatic changeling . . .

Kaia Luna may have traded in science for being a chef, but she won't hide the facts of Bo's condition from him or herself. She's suffered too much loss in her life to fall prey to the dangerous charm of a human who is a dead man walking. And she carries a devastating secret that Bo could never imagine . . .

But when Kaia is taken by those who mean her deadly harm, all bets are off. Bo will do anything to get her back - even if it means striking a devil's bargain and giving up his mind to the enemy.

Another great hit

This is yet again a fantastic book. Despite the length of the series the new direction has added an interesting dynamic. Unlike other long series each book is within the same style, feels like a full story but the subtle connection throughout the series keeps u interested. I’m so glad audible has finally got Nalini on offer.

Angela Dawe can do no wrong

I think I forgot how much I enjoyed this in the year since I read it. But I adored this. I really did.

Nalini Singh knocks it out of the park yet again.

It's been a while since I read a book in this series that wasn't about a Psy.

And Bowen has been a lowkey character I've been dying to know more about for AGES.

And getting more insight into Blacksea?? Heck yeah.

God only knows where Singh is going to go next. But I'm already desperate for the next one. Although I have 16 other books to re-read should the need for more of this world grabs me. (it will)

What happened

I love Nalini Singh books and buy them as soon as they are published. This book therefore came as a shock. Nalini books are usually full of a very well thought out plot with many problems to solve. For me this book was one long listen about the development of attraction between Bowen and ( I can’t even remember her name). The story was a very small side line.
Sorry but not up tonNalini’s usual great standard.
