About this listen
A Warning Please: I intend for this audiobook to be listened to by people aged 14 years or older. Compared to the print and e-book versions, I've toned down the graphic descriptions from Chapter 7 for this audio recording. This is the chapter where I tell the world the incredible story of how Rudolph got his red nose. Because this chapter is the soul of this beautiful and inspiring story, I still manage to get the key points across . . . but as gently as possible. I did so because I feared some parent might give a child this recording to listen to and I worry they may become upset by the near death of Rudolph. And I would never intentionally let that happen. Thank you.
Dear listeners: With this audiobook, I can finally share with the world the untold story of how the formerly secret Worldwide Reindeer Rescue Organization saved the life of the most famous reindeer of them all, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Before beginning, however, I need to mention that this book regarding the mission of the World Wide Reindeer Rescue has been written with the full consent and blessings of Santa Claus (aka, The Big Guy) himself. Most of the peoples of this world don't know that every Christmas Eve, while Santa and his reindeer are completing their annual journey to deliver toys to boys and girls everywhere, that there are about 1,000 volunteer veterinarians standing by on call all over the world just in case a serious accident happens to one of the animals.
This is a story of how this miraculous journey all went wrong one snowy Christmas Eve a few years ago and of how an American veterinarian and his wife saved the life of the most brave and famous reindeer of them all, Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Written for both adults and adult children, besides telling firsthand of the details of the rescue mission, this book--for the first time ever--shares recently released classified information on such topics as how reindeer fly and of how Rudolph got his "red" nose.
