About this listen
Treena and Vance think they've escaped the numbers game forever. They're wrong.
After Treena's disastrous attempt to unite the nation, she has the deaths of hundreds haunting her dreams. Now, with hatred and accusations following her past the border, she's determined to leave that horrible day behind and find a peaceful, uneventful life with Vance and the settlers. But when she starts seeing mysterious figures hiding in the abandoned cities at night and uncovers a strange desert population, she realizes there's a danger much greater than NORA to worry about - and she just abandoned her people to their fate.
Vance is a prisoner. Being rejected by the girl he loves and put on trial for betraying his clan are bad enough, but now he's been framed for a crime he never committed. Their less-than-perfect refuge has become the political game of a madman, and Vance is the only one who can stop it - if he can keep from being executed first.
Treena and Vance are still very much in the game, and this time it will take everything they have to save those they love.

Loved the first, loved this one - give me more!!!
What did you like most about Numbers Ignite?
A brilliant continuation of the series. I loved book one and this takes me along a journey that feels right for the series. It's entertaining with great characters.
If you want the details Numbers Ignite tells the separate adventures of Treena and Vance who are separated at the end of the last book. They take on a new enemy -- or rather enemies. Vance is not on hand to help Treena because he is captured and brought to a settlers' camp where he is to be tried for betrayal of his clan and mass murder. Treena is alone in the desert, determined to make her way to Vance. When the two finally unite, they uncover a plot much bigger than the throne, much bigger than NORA. Which is great!
What did you like best about this story?
It develops the story in a way that feels right. Treena and Vance are great main characters. On the one hand it's Treena who is the lead in the first book but we see a bit of development of Vance without loosing Treena and her importance. It's a really good book!
Which scene did you most enjoy?
I can't answer that without spoilers and that's really not fair to the book. Lets say that this is a really good book. Our characters are growing organically in terms of numbers and in terms of the characters that we are already familiar with. The sense of discontent in this very unique society is brilliant. It's very good.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. I managed to do it in two thanks to a long drive in the car. It's great!!
