Horrifying but really worth listening to
I don't think I would ever have picked up this book to read but I am so glad that I listened to it. It really opened my eyes to the truly horrific things that can happen in an abusive relationship and the dreadful loneliness that the abused person finds themselves in. This true story is a real lesson for those of us who walk around with our eyes shut and say nothing even we suspect something. The sadest part of all was the end result for this poor woman, who to me really seemed she had been punished by the 'system' for being abused.

I couldn’t put this book down. From start to finish it was gripping. Written beautifully, this book got me tearful a few times. Strongly recommend!
