A late and great disovery

I purchased Northanger Abbey after hearing the end of a BBC serialisation. Realising that this was the only one of Jane Austen's books that I have never read (due to a lecturer's dismissal of it as "an attempt at a Gothic novel"), I decided to remedy the omission. The result has been very rewarding. The wit and the beautiful use of language is brilliant and the narration by Flo Gibson has just the right sardonic tone to convey what I imagine Jane Austen's reading may have sounded like.

Yet another addition to my annual rereading List!
