Summary

After going through menopause, Lyn finds that she no longer wants sex. This is unfortunate, as her husband, Neil, still does. When he discards her after 35 years of marriage like an old worn-out shoe, Lyn moves to Cornwall to start a new life. However, new friends are hard to find, and she feels lonely. On the spur of the moment, she decides to join an online dating site, MatchULike, just for companionship. Amongst the peculiar people she meets is Peter; shy and conscious that his "gentleman's" operation has rendered him an unattractive prospect in the marriage stakes. Lyn makes a friend of Peter, but when Neil gets to hear about the friendship, he realizes too late that there is more to a relationship than just sex, and he suddenly starts to appear back on the scene and wants to turn her life upside down all over again.

Disappointed thought it would be better than that

What disappointed you about No Sex Please, I'm Menopausal!?

Disappointed the woman Lyn had no back bone and went back to her cheating ex husband. Now I know why so many men have affairs, because women are so weak, men can pick them up again when things don't work out with the new woman and most of the time the ex wife will take them back.

Has No Sex Please, I'm Menopausal! put you off other books in this genre?

Yes it has put me off any other books in this genre. It got painful towards the end but I was determined to see it through to the end of the book- just to see if it improved- it did not. What a load of rubbish.

Would you be willing to try another one of Ruth Golding’s performances?

No

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Confirmed all men are dogs, and will go with anyone which makes them feel good.

Any additional comments?

I wasted 5 hours of my time listening to this rubbish This was the first audio book I have listened to -thought it would be more about women and the menopause rather than a dirty cheating husband, who slimes his way back into the ex wife life after his new love goes off with someone else.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
