Summary
A scream in the night wakes Private Investigators Troy and Eva Winters from a sound sleep during their well-anticipated vacation in a posh hotel along the Columbia River Gorge. Guns drawn, they run next door only to find the young girl Eva had befriended earlier is missing, and her mother dead.
The child kidnapping continues when the paid killer gets a taste of the easy money this new profession brings. He quickly realizes how the ransom money can be multiplied when he decides to double-cross both his accomplice and his wealthy employer.
Eva and Troy soon find themselves deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest along with FBI agents, search and rescue dogs, and infrared drones on a frantic search for the children before the killers or elements of nature get to them first.

Critic reviews
“Troy and Eva Winters, a husband-and-wife PI team in Oregon, are enjoying a much-needed vacation at a resort hotel when a scream from next door interrupts their slumber. A mother is dead, her twelve-year-old has been kidnapped, and before the police can arrive, Troy and Eva are on the case. Winsome new characters make this latest entry in the series a suspenseful as well as heartwarming read.” Angela M., Line Editor, Red Adept Editing

scream
Wow the narration of David Scott can put the creep into the narration.
While on holiday, PI Troy and Eva Winters wake from a deep sleep, when a they hear a scream. Running next door with guns drawn, only to find the young girl Eva had befriended earlier, missing, and her mother dead.
The child kidnapper keeps doing his job, but when the paid killer realises that ransom money can be multiplied when double crosses both his accomplice and his wealthy employer.
Instead of a relaxing holiday Eva and Troy and the FBI in the forests of the Pacific Northwest along with rescue dogs, searching for the children before the kidnappers or the elements kill them.

Loved it.
Another fantastic edge of the seat story in this series. This time Troy and Eva are pulled in to investigate the murder of a mother and the abduction of her 12 year old daughter. Another abduction deepens the mystery and it takes all their skills to solve the case. David Scott's narration is once again superb as he brings the whole story to life. Recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book and leave this honest review.

Loving the series and narrator does not disappoint
I am just loving this series, and this couple can get into trouble anywhere. As always this series gets you gripped, not necessary to listen/read all them in order - I certainly didnt but it adds to it.
The narration, well what can I say, it just enhances the story and makes it more dark and engaging.
Really loving the two series - related but go off on a slightly different tack.
