About this listen

East London. War rages on, but for the Nightingale nurses wedding bells are ringing....

Anna is over the moon when her sweetheart returns from the front line. As he recovers from his injuries, they make plans to be married, but the horrors of the trenches cast a long shadow. Caring for shell-shocked soldiers brings untold challenges for Grace, and her parents have very different dreams for her future. Meanwhile Dulcie has her sights firmly set on her own happy ending. And yet sometimes we find love where we least expect to. Each of the nurses has her own battle to fight, but they must rally together if they’re to find true happiness.

Nightingale Wedding Bells

Absolutely brilliant! As always you have a way of making the story come true. I do hope you follow on this story of Anna and Tom. And please keep the same narrator. She bring the characters to life.

Fantastic Series

My mum bought me one of your books however when I looked I realise it was part of a series. I downloaded the first book two weeks ago and I've literally listened to the entire series back to back. My grandparents were from Kent but spent alot of time the east end, they would always tell me stories from WW2 and post war London so these books really bought it all to life. Donna's writing is wonderful and she really paints a picture with her words. The narrators delivery is excellent especially her characterisation. I cannot wait to see what comes next in the Nightingale series.
