About this listen
We thought we'd play a fun prank on her, and now most of us are dead.
One last laugh for the summer as it winds down. One last prank just to scare a friend. Bringing a mannequin into a theater is just some harmless fun, right? Until it wakes up. Until is starts killing.
Luckily, Sawyer has a plan. He'll be a hero. He'll save everyone to the best of his ability. He'll kill as many people as he needs to so he can save the day. That's the thing about heroes - sometimes you have to become a monster first.

A good horror tale
I'll admit, this wasn't the book I thought it would be, and it took a little while to get over the disappointment that it was something else. Then, it kinda changed and I enjoyed it.
Its definitely well written and worth a shot if you want something short and sweet.

The very definition of unreliable narrator
Certain things in life are a given; Death, taxes and Stephen Graham Jones writing crackling good stories.
This is a different take on the teen slasher genre, The narrator is so unreliable you don't know what is real and what in his head.
Emotional and tense. Well worth listening to!
Gary Tiedemann delivers an excellent narration!

Cold and creepy story
Perfect short listen for the spooky season! My first S. G. Jones. It kept me on the edge of my seat, right until the chilling conclusion.

Creepy and original
Ideal choice of narrator, he conveyed the mood of the protagonist perfectly. The story quickly took an unexpected direction, which I loved. It's impossible to be more specific without spoiling the surprise.

Twisting the mind away
1st of all. Excellent narrator. Story seems to divide opinions. Sick logic is anyway logic. Writing is good, immersing. Has bit 'magical realism' which may not be to everyone's liking. Neither is the mind mapping propably. I liked this one quite a bit. Not all monsters hide in the attick or dwell in the dark woods.

Boring and juvenile.
Tedious, predictable story. Narator was good but the story wasn't worth the time or the effort.
