Nice xmas story Xcept the erotic description
As it was American I didn't understand alot of the terminology. It was completely different to British Chicklit books from England.
It was a nice Christmas story with heart ❤ and had some depth to the background storyline.I
At first I thought it was for teenagers, I double checked and it is for adults although I needn't have bothered, as the story went along I soon realised, with the explicit sexual detail which could be described as soft porn excuse the pun.
The story really did not need such graphic sexual detail, it would stand alone as a good Christmas story without, so I felt it let the book down.
I have read other reviews that say this book is identical to another book called 'Nick & Norahs infinate playlist'
Personally I have not read or listened to that book but I did watch the film and I didn't think it was an identical or similar to this book apart from the word "playlist" is in the title, books and film.
This book was a free included listen, I know I wouldn't have wasted a credit on this book and I would only recommend it if it was free and definitely to a "Coming of Age" teenage demographic!

enjoyed it 👍 the ending was a bit much. overall a good book. the narration was excellent well done. Great plot. love that the author didn't make the main character live in 'I can't ' mode.

Entertaining
Nick and Noel’s Christmas Playlist is about two childhood best friends Noel who lost her family when she was a teenager and Nick who's family took Noel in in the aftermath, both of them joined the military right after high school and reunite after eight years apart when Nick ends his army career and returns home, only for his long time girlfriend to dump him. So Nick and Noel share a kiss infront of said ex to help Nick save face and feelings and the story go from there.
This was an alright friend to lovers romance however I'm not sure how it has been labeled a Christmas romance as there isn't much Christmas sprinkled in. The plot regarding Amber Nicks ex and her animosity etc with Noel felt very juvenile to me and at times I felt like i was listening to a high school drama, the way the author kept pitting both of those female characters against each other became repetitive and was eyeroll inducing. I enjoyed the banter between Noel, Nick and their family & friends, there was some witty humour throughout and the spice was good and better than I was expecting tbh. This was my first book by this author and i enjoyed her writing style, the audiobook was included in the Audible Plus catalogue so for a "freebie" i can't really complain. It entertained me for an afternoon and i will give the other two in this series a listen as they too are included inthe Plus catalogue, I was just hoping for more Christmas vibes than we got. 🌶🌶

I picked this book based on the comments that said this was ”soft porn” and had ”erotica” but man was I disappointed. Overall cute story.
