Summary
West Golden - football star. Playboy. Dead to me.
Nothing puts the final bullet in a girl’s rep like a leaked sex tape. Especially one starring her and the cocky quarterback who’s had it out for her since day one. Yep, you guessed it. That girl is me.
At Cypress Prep, West is king, but all I see when I look at him is the wicked prick who gets off on trying to break me.
His plaything.
Go ahead. Give him a round of applause for winning that last round, but know this - hell hath no fury like a girl from the south side with a baseball bat.
Hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice...over my dead body.
Never His Girl is the highly anticipated continuation of the Kings of Cypress Prep series. This is book two in a trilogy and should only be listened to after completing book one, The Golden Boys.
This saga contains strong bully themes. So, if you’re not into romances where hate turns into love (...eventually), and if you don’t like your heroes of the unapologetically alpha variety, this might not be the series for you. There is no rape or dubious consent whatsoever. However, due to adult themes and sexual situations, this one’s only for the 18+ crowd.
This series is sure to give you Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill vibes, and the angst will have you burning through the program to find out what happens next. Buy now and get lost in this series today!

Never His Girl by Nikki Thorne & Rachel Jonas
King of Cypress Press Book 2
Performed by Lessa Lamb and Neill Thorne and Sarah Puckett.
Wow I forgot how The Golden Boys ended and listened to part before continuing on with this jaw dropping series again. That wow 😮 ending of book 1 is exactly where this book starts off with Blue reeling from her exposure to the intimacy she shared with West being out there on tape, Who does that! West is left reeling too, because it wasn’t him to do that to Blue. But he knows who did and is keeping quiet about it.
Blue continues to show strength and conviction for making things work in this book. She sure has so much to deal with, she continues to be fiercely protective of her sister Scar and she also continues her friendship with Ricky.
Finally we get more info in this book when West comes clean with Blue as to why he’s trying to protect her yet trying to keep his secrets. Both of them are trying to make their relationship work and are fighting all the craziness around them while doing so.
So such still happening and many twists still coming up with these characters. So many secrets still hiding from where it will end up, but Blue and West are just the couple to keep me fully engaged with following their lives. There is something huge that is coming in the next book and this one really works up the angst and suspense for it, especially with that cliffhanger ending.
Lessa Lamb has the voice for Blue down to a T! She shows us her strength and perseverance as well as her ability to still trust with her whole heart. Neill Thorne was fantastic as West, and had me seeing how compassionate and caring he can be while still being one of the Golden Boys of Cypress Prep. Sarah Puckett gives us an extra personality that helped us see the possibility of other things happening with her gossip girl posts. Who helps her find out everything, she sure has eyes everywhere.
I can’t wait to see all of the secrets exposed and believe it will all be shown in the next book. Hopefully we get it soon!🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧

I loved this book, the situations that they went through and the way the bad luck just seems to follow made me just want to cry but the writing and the strength of the characters keeps me coming back. This series has been so very good and it makes you feel so much for the characters.
I love highschool bully romance and this one is one of the best I have listened to so far

My Thoughts on Never His Girl
I both loved and hated this book. But hated in the best way. I loved it of course because Blue continued to be the strong, independent, compassionate and loyal character she was in book one. Loved it because the storyline was perfectly paced and had me desperate for more and yet not wanting it to end. And loved it because West proved himself to be a better guy then I imagined. I hated it for only one reason really. After all the tension and suspense and build up, now I have to wait for book three to come out on audio. I need to hear that book just the way I heard this one. The narrators are just too good for this book to not be experienced with their amazing performances. I’m a huge fan of Sarah Puckett. Have been for a long time. But her performance as Pandora has me getting all kinds of gossip girl vibes, which I loved the original version of that show, and I equally love in this book. Lessa Lamb and Neill Thorne have both gotten on my must listen to more list after hearing this one as well. The first book I really liked them in and this just further solidified their excellent performances. I need book three now though. I need to know how this story ends, at least for Blue and West. That cliffhanger was just too painful and good at the same time. It ensured I have to have book three. And I’m also super excited for the other two Golden boys and other characters in this series to hopefully get stories of their own.

West and Blue!
West has always been able to have whatever girl he wanted however after a private moment between he and Blue is exposed he isn’t sure what to do. Revealing who is behind and why would not only force him to share a time in his life he isn’t proud of, but it would also mean breaking a confidence. This is something he didn’t want to do but it might be the only way he can convince Blue to give him a second chance.
Blue is dealing with the fallout of the time she spent with West, and she is prepared to accept what ramifications come her way but when it affects those she loves that is a different matter. She hasn’t had an easy life and isn’t about to just forgive and forget but she is about to find out that West was never the biggest threat in her life.
The characters draw you in and the plot has some surprises you don’t see coming which leaves us needing more of their story. The narrators were a perfect choice for the story as they made you feel all the angst and intrigue that the characters were feeling. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

West and Blue…Will they make it?
This series has kept me on my toes. After what West did to Blue, I had no idea how he would redeemed himself. There is so much drama at Cypress prep, with the King between two girls, and the gossip from Pandora and the infamous Golden dad. West and Blue find their way back to each other, but the power play shifts again and this time I don’t know how Blue will make it work. West as a boyfriend is so sweet and sexy, although he is still who he is: the arrogant king of Cypress prep. There’s more on the next book and I wouldn’t want to miss it! Lovely narration by them three.

It’ll sure make you feel something
With the way the previous book ended, I couldn’t wait to read the next. And here we are, after the end of book 2, and it’s still so intense I can’t wait to read book 3. Well played.
There was a serious shift in the characters and their relationship, compared to what they were in book 1. It’s progressive and slow, but the way West acts by the end of this book is the complete opposite of how he acted before. There’s even a couple of swoon-worthy moments that I won’t spoil, but that will make you fall hard, I promise.
Blue and West are still quite young and inexperienced and they make a lot of mistakes that could make you cringe. But, considering their whole situation–that you’ll have more info on along the way–those faux-pas make sense. They have, more or less, no parental figure to take for example, no adult whatsoever around them. Not completely realistic, but logical given their backstories. Not that most of the adults here are trustworthy anyway.
While there was a hint of a suspenseful subplot before, it becomes an important element of the story near the end, that will no doubt be a major plot point in the last book in the trilogy–if the cliffhanger is any indication. It also answers some questions from book 1, showing that the authors gave a lot of thought to the whole plot.
Since Blue and West spend a lot of time apart from each other, they interact with other characters. Friends, family, professors… They are seen through the main characters’ point of view–and Pandora’s–who are too focused on their relationship to give them more thought. With a couple of exceptions, the other characters aren’t developped as well as the main ones. It doesn’t lessen the pleasure though.
Thanks to the narrators’ performance, you can’t help but feel for West and Blue. West’s redemption arc is more powerful with the male narrator’s raw emotions and trembling voice, and Blue’s anger and strength are rendered beautifully by the main female narrator. The third narrator is given more and more expressive snippets along the way and she shows more of her talent.
It can still be a disturbing story, the authors don’t shy from heavy subjects, but they’ll sure make you feel something. On to book 3!

So many secrets
but they all come out in the end! Blue will not let West win he won’t break her she will stay strong nd come out on top no matter what it takes . Boy was this book a rollercoaster of emotions and twists and turns you don’t see coming. I thought I hated Vin Golden in book 1 but that was nothing to the hatred I feel for him now the man is lower than low and he’s going to get everything he deserves and hopefully more . Loved the narration by Sarah , Lessa and Neill and I’m eagerly awaiting book three and all the fall out that comes with it.

Absolutely Incredible!!
This is easily going to be one of my favourite series of all time, and I don't hand those out very easily! This book deserves every star in the world for how amazing it is. The plot has a real PLOT, the romance made me feel things, a lot of things, and the side characters and family dynamic was absolutely everything and more. Just, speechless really. Well done Rachel and the narrators for this, it was a masterpiece!
