Great support for mindfulness & contentment
After reading many 'self help' books (including many classics); this stands as one of the best. In my opinion it offers a perfect balance of depth and accessibility.

Good but could be better
The audio book was good and I enjoyed it all apart from the guided meditations. These are interspersed through the audio, I can understand this working for a book. But for me at least, they would have been better at the end of the audio book.

Lots of knowledge delivered with warmth and ease
I am enjoying this book so much. Dr Hanson is a delightful, professional, clear narrator who delivers the information with ease and such warmth that it feels like I am drinking a hot chocolate next to an open fire. Highly recommended all of Dr Hansons work and courses, a true asset to his field and to all who benefits from his work. Feeling grateful.

Superb
A further and deeper step in the author's excellent series of books offering practical advice and scientific explanations of Buddhist teachings. Many beautiful meditations are included. Highly recommended
