About this listen

This is the dramatic and thrilling conclusion of Neptune’s Chalice, a Machiavellian story of epic proportions.

After escaping from the assassin that had just killed the president-elect of the United States, Zoey Volkova and her paramour Kai must disappear. The FBI is hunting for her and so are the perpetrators. Both know that she is the key to exposing an elaborate and sinister plan for world power. The FBI wants her alive, but the assassins are determined to silence her permanently. Neither are aware of just how formidable and resourceful Zoey can be.

Brilliant narration and a complex plot and a well rounded ending

This second audiobook, which you need still to pay attention to as with book one, due to the multiple threads and many characters, is a simpler listen and a slower pace. Again, it held my interest throughout.

The characters were true to life with some great banter and moments. I loved the kindness shown by many, as well as people being willing to risk all—including their lives—for the good of the world.

As I’d hoped for, the finish was well rounded and all threads resolved. It left me with a smile. A highly recommended audiobook, which gets a solid four stars from me.
