About this listen
The national best-selling author of Royal Blood whisks her heroine away to the French Riviera for fun-and danger.
Lady Georgiana Rannoch has once again been called into service by Her Majesty the Queen. This time she's sent to Nice on a secret assignment that's nothing to sneeze at: recover the Queen's stolen snuff box.
As much of an honor as it is to be trusted by Her Majesty, an even greater honor awaits Georgie in Nice - as Coco Chanel herself asks Georgie to model her latest fashion. But when a necklace belonging to the Queen is stolen on the catwalk, Georgie has to find two priceless items - and solve a murder. How's a girl to find any time to go to the casino?

Potential Yet....
I didn’t enjoy this story as much as the previous tale. The concept is great and the solution to the various crimes, misdemeanours and murders were completely unseen. Notwithstanding all of that (& with all of our usual cast of usual characters), I really couldn’t warm to the journey and the dialogue. I still don’t warm to the Ladies Maid, Queenie and can’t see why she can’t be laid off!
There isn’t as much humour this time around, and not so much character development either. I feel that we’ve learned as much about the characters as we’ll ever learn.

Naughty in Nice
With London cold & smoggy and who's who are off to warmer climbs, Lady Georgina is given a job from the Queen, and sent off to join her family. Being accused of both theft and murder, she finds there is nothing to it but get involved again. Read brilliantly again by Katherine Kellgren.

Heart warming and funny.
There is something about these books that makes me feel warm inside with a smile on my face. This time Georgie ends up in Nice at the request of the Queen. As usual chaos ensues and Georgie finds herself embroiled in a murder. Featuring the lovable maid Queenie, the dashing Darcy and the intolerable Fig. Georgie must solve the murder in order to prove her innocence. A great listen ! The narrator is soothing, strident and super riveting.

Generally great but some glaring errors
Please will someone tell the author that “Bob’s your uncle” does not mean “I agree” or “ok”, and that we don’t refer to entrance halls as “foyers”?! Perhaps at the same time they could let the narrator know that we don’t say parrrrsageway either…
I love these stories and plotlines, but there are some grating errors in content and narration that are difficult to overlook.

Not as good as the rest.
This was okay, but not the best. The story was a little lacklustre, and to be honest I'm getting a little sick of the 'all British men are secretly rapists' thing. This seems to be becoming increasingly common in these tales. I pretty sure very few men actually want to force a woman to sleep with them, even if they are from the upper-classes.
I wasn't that impressed with narration either. For some reason the narrators voice and pronunciation is becoming increasingly ridiculous. It's more than a little distracting.
