About this listen
Did you know that children of narcissistic parents often grow up to feel responsible for the needs and behavior of others?
A narcissistic personality disorder is one of a few kinds of character issues and is a state of mind where individuals have their very own swelled feeling of importance, a profound requirement for over the top consideration and appreciation, troubled relationships, and an absence of empathy for other people. In any case, behind this cover of extraordinary certainty lies delicate confidence that is defenseless against the smallest criticism.
This book is different from the rest because it includes all the issues related to narcissistic abuse in childhood and because it was written to be narrated (audiobook). It delves into the nitty-gritty of what narcissistic parents do to their children, their manipulation techniques and how it affects the children till adulthood. It shows the signs to look for whether you were abused or are being abused presently without you knowing it. Some of its contents are:
- Some tactics narcissistic parents use
- Healing yourself if raised by narcissistic parents
- Types of narcissists
- Healing phases of narcissistic abuse
- Differences between narcissism and confidence
This book is for people who are now coming to understand why their childhood was not like every other child out there. If you believe something was wrong during your childhood but can’t put a finger on it, then you should get this book. It will show you what was really out of place and the techniques to heal yourself and become the adult you were meant to be. It answers questions like:
- How do I change my mother/father?
- How do I respond whenever they text or call?
- Is it possible to break free from a narcissistic relationship?
- What do I do to heal from growing up with a narcissistic parent?
- And more!

Buyer beware
There is something very fishy about this book. For a start, whoever Michelle Evans is, the author's first language is clearly not English. The reader does her best but the book is almost unlistenable to as the stiltedness and awkwardness of the language completely distracts from what's actually being said. I'm not sure what's going on, but the book reads like it was originally a foreign language book that has been badly translated; or a book that was originally in English has been altered by someone for whom English is a second language. For example, when the author writes "A narcissistic personality issue messes up every day numerous problems ...", or that they "hoard discussions" or that complications can include "Melancholy and nervousness .. or liquor abuse", or that they should "Get treatment as quickly as time permits for youth psychological issues", or that signs of a narcissistic mother include "Your nourishment is eaten off your plate" or "Your time is submitted without counselling you .." or an example of what Mom would say is "Mike had that issue with successive pee as well ..." or "recollect, Rome wasn't worked in a day!" you get the gist of what is intended. But the style is completely distracting. There is some useful information here about narcissism in a general sense, but I never got the impression that it came from clinical experience, and to be honest I couldn't make it to the end. I also find it highly suspicious that of the more than 100 reviews almost every single one is 5* in all categories and the majority give the impression of being written by the same person in non-fluent English! In fact remarkably similar to the style the book is written in. So, buyer beware - check the book out on Amazon first and have a look through before buying. I wish I had. I've asked for my credit back.

Dud
I think this book may be a dud or a fake, but I also can’t figure out why anyone would create a ‘fake’ book! The language used is very odd indeed. I also have since noticed the language in the reviews is similar which led me to believe it could be fake. I also can’t find any info anywhere on who the author is or anything about her at all! All rather odd. If you are interested in narcissistic mothers there are plenty of well written, substantiated books out there. Don’t waste your money on this one.
