Oh dear ! So sorry Cara
I have waited expectantly for month & it was confusing, convoluted & dull!
In the Farley books I liked the device of marking events with social media comments but reading a script? I’m sure I will remember the postcode for the studio but why
The only character that had a ring of truth was the psychologist
Again sorry Cara I hate being negative x

Good story... format not for me.
I thoroughly enjoy all Cara Hunter's books, but personally I didn't enjoy the format here.

Great story!
Occasionally irritating accents do not really detract from this gripping story, brilliantly told! A very new format adds to the enjoyment.

story is very gripping
This is a very unique story about teying to solve a 20 year old murder of Luke.
After seeing the layout of the book, its not in normal pros dialogue, I decided to get a copy of the book to follow along with the audio. I struggle to read with my dyslexia so the audio definitely sped up the reading process but also added something. the characters came alive more with the inflections in the voice. the text is information dence and the audio really helped me to process this. however I think just having the audio alone would be very difficult to follow. its made up of text chats, chatroom exerpts, newspaper articles, autopsy reports, police reports, and the main body is call sheets and post production scripts with information about what to edit and where. each new speaker isn't introduced like in the book so you need to remember who's voice is who and with such a large cast of characters it can be difficult.
however I would say this really kept me enthralled, it has 'clifhangers' and twists and turns and you are still guessing who killed Luke right up to the page it is revealed. I was close but got it wrong. its the kind of book you will pass on to others, reccomend to all.
TLDR: 100%amazing and worth a listen but get the book in hand to follow along.

Not as good as Cara’s previous novels
I agree with many other reviewers. I purchased this audio book on the strength of Cara’s previous novels but this was so different and not in a good way that I was left feeling disappointed.

Not a series I shall be following
I am at a bit of a loss to know how to review this. It is a complete departure from the DI Fawley series. Genre? “Fictional Real Crime”? Lots of characters, increasingly implausible plot. So many voices, more like a radio drama. I think some people would really like this but it bored me. You know a Whodunnit has failed when you simply no longer care “whodunnit’ . I can understand a novelist wanting to try something new but, if this is the beginning of a new Cara Hunter series, then I shall be giving it a miss. Shame as I really enjoyed her past work.

Very disappointing
I’ve read all of Cara Hunter’s previous books and loved them but this one was so disappointing. As one reviewer said, the format was odd and didn’t lend itself to being an audiobook. Plus didn’t care about of the characters. Hope her next one goes back to Adam Fawley.
