Summary

The Sloan is advertising on the local New York expansion team broadcasts after doing so previously on symphony events. Thatcher gets involved to prevent President Brad Withers making an outrageous statement and winds up in a murder. Terrible reader

I love the Emma Lathen books, and have wanted audiobook versions for years. There were versions available - but with terrible background music - so I was really pleased to see a whole selection marked "without added music", and I bought one. However, the reader is really bad: pausing all over the place (even in the middle of words), and with hardly any expression. I could do much better myself! I won't be buying any more unless a better reader is employed. Very disappointing indeed.
