About this listen
The second original, touching, twisted, and most of all hilarious novel and audiobook for children performed by David Walliams, Matt Lucas and Nitin Ganatra.
The characters from David’s book spring to life with fantastic voices and characters galore that will make you laugh out loud.
Read by David Walliams, Matt Lucas and Nitin Ganatra.
"Mr Stink stank. He also stunk. And if it was correct English to say he stinked, then he stinked as well…”
Chloe sees Mr Stink every day, but she’s never spoken to him. Which isn’t surprising, because he’s a tramp, and he stinks.
But there’s more to Mr Stink than meets the eye (or nose) and before she knows it, Chloe has an unusual new friend hiding in her garden shed.
As Chloe struggles to keep Mr Stink a secret, and her dad tries to hide a secret of his own, the stage is set for an epic family confrontation. But there's one other person with an extraordinary secret – Mr Stink himself…

The kind things the girl did for him
I liked when the family joined together as one for Christmas and I would have rather had me stink stay with them as it was sad when he left.

One of my favourite childhood books
Unlike The Boy in the Dress not much of the audiobook was changed for Mr Stink, and I am so glad it wasn’t. Out of all the books David Williams has written I think this one’s my favourite. As good as the Boy in the Dress is I think it is a little depressing at times, and quite a standard story. But with Mr Stink I think it is absolutely unique and hilarious especially Mr Stink himself, with his one liners and as the story goes on it has a surprisingly emotional end that shocked me when I was younger. But it feels earned and adds a richness to the story that I felt elevated it to a whole new level for me personally, and I have not been able to recapture with Rat burger Awful Auntie etc. I also felt this story showed how David Williams improved as a writer, because I think it is better paced than The Boy In the Dress and he knows how to balance the funny moments with the emotional moments, which like I said leads to a powerful ending. Thanks David Williams for this book, it will always be a childhood favourite and I will look forward to the many times I will listen/read this story again In the future. 9.5/10
