Summary
The Changed are on the move. The Spared are out of time. The End…is now. When her parents died, Alex thought things couldn't get much worse - until the doctors found the monster in her head. She headed into the wilderness as a good-bye, to leave everything behind. But then the end of the world happened, and Alex took the first step down a treacherous road of betrayal and terror and death. Now, with no hope of rescue - on the brink of starvation in a winter that just won't quit - she discovers a new and horrifying truth. The Change isn't over. The Changed are still evolving. And…they've had help. With this final volume of The Ashes Trilogy, Ilsa J. Bick delivers a riveting, blockbuster finish, returning listeners to a brutal, post-apocalyptic world where no one is safe and hope is in short supply. A world where, from these ashes, the monsters may rise.

fantastic
Would you listen to Monsters again? Why?
yes, i have read all three in this series and there was no point that i became uninterested......the characters are really good
What was one of the most memorable moments of Monsters?
hard to choose as the whole book had me hooked again......as did the other two books. although in this book i have to admit....a tear or two were shed by me
Which scene did you most enjoy?
mostly the final battle but also the gathering of them all...coming back together. these books had you waiting for this and many times i thought...ah, this is it....but it wasnt...which just added to the suspense. i must say, i am so impressed by katherines reading of all three books. never have i come across such an eager, enthrauling, enthusiastic reader. she is amazing and exciting....she perfected this story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
yes, near the end when goodbyes were being said.
Any additional comments?
amazing writer, fabulous narrator and i am hoping, theres a follow up to this book.

Not for the faint hearted
Would you consider the audio edition of Monsters to be better than the print version?
Much better than the written word! The narrator does brilliantly and brings it all to life (death)?
What other book might you compare Monsters to, and why?
This is the first of this type I have read (The trilogy). It brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "Body parts"! Not bedtime reading for some.
What about Katherine Kellgren’s performance did you like?
Wow what an adrenalin rush again & again... It's the way she tell's 'em!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would of loved the time to listen from start to finish.
Any additional comments?
I think I will recover soon but first I will check the colour of the moon.
